Ok KC peeps, I just yesterday found out that his office is now closed (I live 6 hours from KC). I was to be going back to him in 2 weeks for another appointment but... For any people that had been with him, who are you using now? Has anyone heard anything about him opening back up?? I am lost and out of the loop.. Thanks! Bill

I just found out that Dr. Malley's office closed.. I only found out when I called to verify my appointment time(I now live 6 hours from KC so I did not see all the news stories). Where have you guys gone to now? Do you know of he is opening back up? Thanks! Bill

I go in tomorrow at 8:30am for my first fill...Any advise...Should I eat before? What does it feel like???

I would get it done. I had mine taken out about 3 years ago, it was very easy, I was in the hospital for 1 night and then went home and was up and about in 3 or 4 days with no pain. I felt great after it was done! Just get it done!

It is good to see that here are some guys on here... I was begining to think that I was alone.. I was banded on April 16.. I have not liked the liquid diet, I was always hungary. Today was the first day of "mushies" much better.. I actually felt full at super! When I do feel hungary between meals I take to the water bottle... it seems to fill me up and I dont think about all the junk in the house(I have a 4 and 6 year old, there is a lot of snack food!). I have lost almost 12lbs in the last 4 days. I hope it gets easier for you! I am going to check out the "guys" group as well!

I would have to agree with phyl808... you need to talk to your doc.

My Surgery was on 4/16, my first BM took until 4/18 late in the day.. boy! It never felt so good! lol!

I had my surgery on 4/16, I am a 29 year old man that is 5'11" and tipping the scales at 306. I would like to find some people that I can talk to and know what I am going thru with this!

Good luck! Everything will be fine, I was banded on 4/16, the surgery lasted about a hour and I was home the next day. I am alittle sore still(its only been 2 days) but keep in mind that it is one of the best things that you will ever do for yourself! If you need anything or want to chat drop me a message!

I also was banded on 4/16/09! I have not had a problem with alot of burping.. I am doing it but not alot. I just have constant hunger growns...
