    How long off work?

I had my surgery thursday and I am returning to work tomorrow.I am just a little sore today and each day gets better and better. I just sit behind my computer all day so I dont think it will be a problem. Yesturday was 2 days post op and I walked around Ikea and felt better than just sitting at home
  6. This is for all the early post op banders :hurray: 1.5 cps splenda 1/3 cp flour 3 cps of 1% milk 3 egg yolks 1/4 cp natural creamy Peanut Butter ( i prefer skippy) tab of cant beleive its not butter 1tsp vanilla mix splenda and flour well. then add milk and egg yolks. Blend well. put in sauspan over med heat. slowly add in peanut butter and whisk constantly (approx 15 mins). Once at a pudding like consistensy, add a tab of I cant beleive its not butter and 1 tsp of vanilla. and viola! yummy with the protein!
  7. have you tried any warm liquids? that should help with the swelling
  8. I too also had my band and hernia repair on 2/11/10. I was only nausea the first day. I was only able to have about 4 oz of broth total for the day. The second was a little better. I am still having alot of pain in my upper chest and shoulder. Im guessing that is from the air that is pumped in you. The dr told me to get up and walk 5 minutes every hour to help with the nausea and also help with the gas. It has worked for the nausea but not the gas. I constantly feel as though i need to burp and just cant to it.

    BIG dilemma - HELP!!

I actually had an EGD done and found that I have a hernia so while that is being repaired, I am getting banded too. I have not told many people at all that i am getting the lapband. As far as my office knows, Im just going in for the hernia repair. Last week I advised them that I am getting a personal trainer to whip me into shape and I received so much support for that. I hope this helps you!
  11. Hi everyone, My name is Shannon and I have been doing some research on Lap Band. I actually have my surgery feb 11th and also having my esophogus repaired at the same time. I am so excited! This site has been very helpful on researching. I am fortunate that my insurance cover the surgery without jumping through a lot of hoops. I have been doing my pre-op shake diet and have lost 6 lbs in 5 days so I think things are already looking up
