I too will be having Roshashana dinner on Saturday.. Oy, the great food! I'm VERY restricted after my 2nd fill 2months ago. I was banded on 5-8-09. I still have a problem with chicken and some meats. I'll be having a little soup (no matzo ball :biggrin:) a little bite or 2 of brisket, some noodle kugel, yum and whatever is soft. This is will be very interesting. Choose wisely & enjoy the holidays!

I live & swear by Papaya & Pineapple enzymes. I buy mine at Trader Joe's for around $6. They come in a bottle of 100 yummy chewable tablets. I was banded 5-8 and now after my 2nd. fill this past week, 1.5cc, I am getting fuller MUCH faster than from my 1st, fill on 6-7 which was 4cc. All bandsters should carry these with them.... always. They've saved me numerous times from the awful pain of that "feeling" that something is stuck. Good luck all!!

For me it was pretty painful... not totally unbearable, but enough to get the pain medication every 3-4 hours.
I was up walking about 3 hours post-op. Walking really helps.. It's true! I was banded Friday 5-8-09 and I feel much better but still some pain in my lower abdominal area (can you say gas??) and turning in bed it a bitch. I had to take some liquid vicodin this AM for the 1st. time. I went right back to sleep on my port side... So we shall see how the next few days go.. I'm very excited. Take care.
P.S. Are you banded yet?

Hello, This is my 4th. day pre-opt also jeremij. Pretty sore, like I was punched 1000 times in the stomach. Otherwise, the pain is mininal, however a bit more painful than I expected. I have a hard time turning in bed.. yikes!! A little lower abdominal pain from the gas too. Coughing is NOT FUN.. All in all, I guess I'm going pretty well. Take care.
