    Accountability partner

I like the idea of an accountability partner too - I think that the more help we can get, the better. My hospital has a support group that meets once a month. While the once a month is great for my schedule, I sometimes wish it were more frequent. That, and I wish it were closer! Anyway, maybe we can find accountability partners here? Jess

    Struggling

I was banded in April of 2009. The first 2 months were VERY successful. In fact, most of the weight I've currently lost (30 pounds, give or take) was in those first two months. Since then I've been having trouble staying on track. The biggest problem I've had is that starting in mid-June, up until the past week, I've been able to eat anything, just about, and in any quantity. So of course, I have been. Tuesday I had my first fill. They gave me 5ccs. I don't think it's the sweet spot yet, but it's definitely better than it has been, so far. However!!! I still have been eating poorly, and I'm a bit frustrated with myself. My friends and family have been great - they basically have been trying to get me to see that 30 pounds in 3 months is really great, and that I shouldn't be so hard on myself. I am a bit worried that holding onto this attitude will let me allow myself to slide. On the one hand, I'm pretty hard on myself, but on the other, since I have been able to eat more (even with the current fill, although I will say that I have felt quite uncomfortable on those times that I've eaten too much), I'm also letting myself eat like a nut. At any rate, what I can celebrate: I've been really good about getting to the gym and exercising. I got the nike+ for my ipod, and have been keeping track of my walking (even those the site says I'm running), and have been able to to walk 30 miles in July!! So exciting. Starting right now, I am going back to the drawing board. Since I am supposed to each mushies for about a week (and haven't really been,), I am going to do that. My week starts right now, and I will re-kick start my program. I definitely need to keep posting and writing here, too because I think that will help a ton. Wish me luck!
