Marine mom replied to outside*looking*in's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Paperwork, evaluation, and testing. Mine didn't take 4 hours, but at least 3 beginning to end. -
Losing my patience!!!!
Marine mom replied to new_journey4me's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
been there. My 6 month process took 9, and I was looking at this vacation scheduled. If it had been another week, I would have postponed my surgery until after my trip to WDW. Hope all comes together for you. In the end, in my case, I am just glad it did come together, that I survived it all, and that I am on the other side of the surgery. At the time i was so frustrated and angry, and thought the world was coming to an end. -
I would think that part of that is the body readjusting fluid wise. Just like the first pounds lost are fluid, the first gained usually are too.

for shame on the hubby! So far I'm ok. Another kid (the one who helped me get through the chores yesterday) was up sick last night. Husband only had nausea and diarrhea (i'm sure he'd love me sharing that!) so i could deal with that. thanks for asking. -
enjoy your mushies!

bellyfatgone, I hope your appt. goes well. don't forget to check back in. I posted in a separate thread that we have a stomach bug in the house. I am terrified that I will get it and my band will slip. There is nothing in this world that makes me want to have another surgery. The last one scared the crap out of me.

I haven't hit a wall yet, but i've lived my life long enough to know it will happen. can i suggest that you just cut yourself some slack, do whatever helps you to relax, reading, walking, journaling, whatever, and just not worry for a few days. Eat what works for you, and figure out the best direction for regrouping. maybe find a support group, an exercise group or class (i took a spinning class, that has grown on me), maybe even talk with a professional. you've been through a lot. peace to you. i hope i'm not preaching!!!!! not meaning to at all.
