    July Bios?

Hello! I'm Jules, I'm 30 years old, happily married to my best friend and have two boys ages 6 and 9. We live in a very small town in Kentucky and have 3 min. Schnauzers. I started gaining weight at puberty and was diagnosed with PCOS around age 19. My weight continued to climb over the years and in April I was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis of my spine. My doctor suggested Lap Band and my journey began! I've been very lucky with how fast my process has been and I'm so looking forward to getting banded on the 27th in Lexington, Ky. I love the support on this site and hope to make some great band buddies!
  7. I saw on the forum we share the same surgery date...July 27th! I'm going in at 6:30 that morning and I'm ready to go! Wish you the best hun!

    Bandster support for us Heathens/Pagans

I got the news that my surgery will be the end of this month. I go for my surgeon visit on the 14th and they'll schedule me then. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. Anyone got some good suggestions or helpful hints for the soon-to-be banded?

    Kentucky, "who's your Doctor"

Hello, my name is Jules, I'm 30 years old and I'm working toward jumping on the "band" wagon. I'm getting my surgery done at Central Baptist in Lexington with Bluegrass Bariatrics. June 4th is my all day appointment for labs and I think I'm good to go with my insurance which is BC/BS FEP. Would love to hear from others who've had their surgery there or any advice

    Hello I'm Jules

Hello everyone! Last week my doctor gave me the referral for Lap Band and the following day I confirmed my coverage with my insurance company. I attend the seminar on May 4th and I'm looking forward to getting it done and moving forward with my life. I'm 30 with two boys and a wonderful Hubby who is very supportive. I've had my gallbladder removed a few years ago and had a very hard time waking up from the anesthesia. I'm so worried about going under again....anyone else have trouble with that? I'm looking forward to posting more on the board as my journey progresses! Jules
