The last time I visited my doc was before Thanksgiving. I know, I know, I need to get back to her. My appointment is April 18th. The last time I was there I didn't get a fill because I had just contracted Shingles <of all things>, and the Shingles were showing up on the side of my waist that my port is on. The pain is finally gone, so I'm getting a fill this time. She said we're close to my sweet spot, so I'm looking forward to this fill.

My surgery date was April 22, 2009.

Looks like I need to update my ticker too, lol.

It's been so long since I've been here. I need to start coming back, I sure do need the support that's for sure. Since my surgery (April 22, 2009) I've lost 62 pounds. I can't seem to lose any more. <sigh>. I'm not giving up, there has to be some reason out there why, I just haven't found it yet. lol

Thank you Band_Groupie!!!! This is going to be a lot of fun :blushing:

1. WEIGHT- Start weight was 326 today, 275.8. My weight losss has slowed tremendously <sp?>, but I'm trying to stay positive...I think lately I'm only losing about 1 pound a week, maybe a little less. 2. FILLS - 14 cc band, first fill was 6.5cc and second was 1cc 3. RESTRICTION-I don't have a great deal of restriction, I feel it if I drink too fast or swallow too big a bite, but other thant that, nothing. 4. RULES-I'm having more trouble with not getting the required water in each day, and I'm eating a lil more carbs than I should <I need to work on that>. 5. ANYTHING ELSE- for the last few years I've had a lot of trouble with my knees. Not being able to walk far, shopping was hard, I could only go for about 45 minutes then I had to go home. I felt just awful that I couldn't do anything. Well, last weekend I went to a wedding, and danced for a couple of hours. It was so much fun, and I owe it all to having this surgery, giving me the chance to help myself. I can't wait to see what the future's going to be like now.:blushing:

I got a fill today, so hopefully I'll start losing again. I don't think I'm going to make my original goal, but as long as I'm losing....it's all good. :wink2:

Hi guys, it seems like a few of us have been MIA for a while, me included. I think the last time I posted was when I was going for my second fill.....well, something happened and the doctor had to reschedule, so this friday I go for my 2nd fill. I have been struggling a little. It seems like it's taken forever to lose a pound. I actually don't think I've lost more than a pound in the last few weeks. :tongue2: I sure hope getting this fill will help get things rolling again. Being here helps, I don't think I realized how much until now. It's nice to be "home" again. lol I hope everyone is doing well....TJ...wow nice pic, I've lost a total of 47 pounds (20 post surgery) and I don't think anyone can tell but me. lol hugs to all Terri:smile2:

Hi guys, I'm feeling pretty good with what I've accomplished so far. I'm down a total of 45 pounds, 25 since surgery. My 3 months anniversary is today July 22nd. I go in for my second fill tomorrow. I haven't had much restriction, and I can eat anything I want. I have noticed when I let myself get really hungry....I eat too fast and take bigger bites, thats about the only time I feel "something." I am walking every day, but I think I need to step it up a bit. My knees are feeling soooo much better I just can't believe it, but the knees still have me going slower than I'd like to go. My mini goal is 250 by christmas....I'm only 32.2 pounds away. Wish me luck!!! Good Luck Bunnies!

Hi guys, I hope all is well with you. I had my first fill on June 2nd. It wasn't too bad, and everything seemed to go well. Then last week, I got on the scales and had gained almost 2 pounds. I was so upset. Heck I thought after getting my fill, I'd lose a few more. Has this happened to anyone else? I still don't feel any restriction, and I'm not due to go back until July 23rd. Is this normal? lol

I go in for my first fill on June 2nd. I'm really nervous. When I saw my doctor at my 2 week check-up she told me that my first fill would be done under flouroscopy because it was so hard to find the port the first time. I'm glad to know that they numbed the area before they stuck you! Me and needles <shudder> lol. You will have to let me know how eating is after a first fill. I don't have any restriction either, and I'm wondering how it's going to change with the first fill. Good luck to all you bunnys! Terri
