This is going to sound strange....but, can I still drink alcohol (in an excessive amount) if I am banded? There is this horserace/party that I go to once a year and that's what it's all about. This is the only time I drink EVER, and I want to know if I have to give this up? -

Is there anything I can do (gather paperwork, contact insurance company, etc...)before my first appointment with the surgeon so that I can move the process along quicker? I do know that the lap band is available under my insurance b/c I called with the CPT code.

Thank you! I have an appointment with a psychologist in two weeks. I didn't know if it would be okay to ask the insurance company those questions....

What's the difference between the Inamed band and the VG band? -
I'm going for a seminar on July 12th to see "Dr. V" in Charlotte, NC.....anyone else have experiences with him???? I look forward to getting a ton of information from everyone (and eventually helping others out)!
