Hi Love Is Lovely how are you? I just recently moved from the Dallas to East TX. Congratulations on your weight loss! You Look remarkable & Fabulous. How did you do it so fast?? Were you really @ 290 LBS.How many lbs- have you lost?? I am currently @200LBS and 5FT 6IN tall and went to my siminar to get things started last week, but it was full of people asking lots of questions and I still have a lot of questions myself. I have a appt on 5/7/09 with the dr. I want to know from other black females , have you experienced hair loss since the surgery? Please hit me back with a update. Dont want to lose my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Hope, You look great? How much have you lost total? I did'nt see any before photos? I am new to this right now. I just went to the seminar with a husband and wife team Dr. Ron Hekier,MD & Dr. Rachael Leilin MD. I am from Texarkana, Texas 6 hours from H-Hown. I want to do this =, but some things are still confusing to me. Was this a easy journey? I was told that you really have to chew your food and u cant drink while eating at the same time and NO SODA's ever again. Did you take soda out of your diet. Did you join a gym and or have a personal trainer? I basically want to know is there hair loss for african american women who have the lapband? Hit me back

Hey Vikki, what up? At work and on this website. I am so ready to be banded? Have you had any hair loss as a result of the lapband? I have heard so many horror stories. I am at flat 200 lbs and I need to be at 136lb LOL:-) Hit me back.

Hello congratulations on all your weight loss. I am a black female and I want to know if you had a lot of hair loss due to the lapband and having a relaxer., I was warned that black women experience hair loss after the labband. I know a relative that had the gastric surgery and her hair is thin and stringy like thread. Did you have the surgery done in Dallas or McKinney? I heard that Dr. Wade Barker of Dallas is great! I have healthy cold black hair and I dont want to take that chance of losing a lot of hair. Hit me back and give me a update on that issue. thanks/ my 1st appt with the dr is 5-7-09.

Hey this photo is dated 7-2008, have you had the surgery yet, today is 4-2009. I do think that maybe you need to put pressure on your insurance company? Who are you insured thru? Maybe your primary doctor should do a referral for you if this surgery is health related and you can submit to the insurance company. -
Hey U, Im Ladydiva from Easttexas. I am tall and a lot of people don't think that I need to have the lapband. I am getting a lot of drama from mostly my family. I could pass for like 150lbs- but Im much heavier. People cant see it in my face and I have a cool figure with the weight, so I can sort of get away with a lot.
