Does anyone use prepackaged meals for lunch?

What do you eat to keep you full for a long period of time?
-
Thank you all so much for your replies! I am going to keep that as an option if I'm in a pinch, but I think I am going to go home tonight, make a bunch of healthy food and freeze it in plastic containers!

Does anyone know why we should have liquids after a fill. I am on my 7th fill (Let's hope this time is the sweet spot) and just found out I am supposed to be drinking liquids only for 2 days. Why is this?

You are so lucky! It took 5 months and seven fills before I felt any restriction. You are almost there! Good luck to :thumbup:you!

Anyone doing Weight Watchers? I have been banded since June 5th. I have not reached my sweet spot, and not lost any weight. I am starting Weight Watchers and was wondering if any other banders were. Thank you.

I have read many of your posts and really appreciate your comments. You have obviously "figured" it out. No pun intended. LOL You look great. I tried the low carb diet and thought I might die. I felt horrible. I was dizzy, tired and couldn't see straight. I feel much better on WW. I have another fill scheduled in two weeks and hope I get some restriction to help me with the diet. I can eat anything at this point with no problem. I am still in "bandster hell". I sure can't "weight" to be in weight loss heaven!!! Thank you for your response. :smile2:)

5 months and barely any restriction!!!!! I'm so frusterated! I thought I would be down 40 pounds by now. Sweet spot....where are you?

I'm wondering if the people out there that are actually losing weight after the lap band (I'm not one of them) could right down what the eat in a day. I'm not at my "sweet spot" after 5 months, but hoping to be there soon. I would just like to know how much you are eating to lose weight. Thank you so much. I think this will really help me.

I was banded June 5th. I lost 18 pounds on the pre diet and none since. I am still hungry. I have 5 1/2 cc's in an 11 cc band. I just want to know there are others out there who are in the same boat. I have tried to diet, but I'm hungry. I'm starting to get frusterated. I want to lose weight so bad!!!!

Can anyone tell me why we should have liquid medicine instead of pills?

I had my third fill last week and since then have felt less full. Does anyone have this problem. Will the fluid settle and be more full?

Has anyone failed the nicotine blood test?
heathermc posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I quit smoking, but very worried it will still show up in a blood test especially becasue I live with smokers. Has anyone failed? Do you know how long the blood test will show nicotine use? -

Wordsmyth-I have actually learned quite a bit about this after I asked this question. It actually only takes a couple of days for the nicotine to get out of your system, but it takes about 4-6 weeks for the chemicals that break down from nicotine to clear your system. I had the blood test exactly 4 weeks after smoking and I was clear. I did not do the patches because I didn't want it in my system. I've been banded a month and a half now.) -
Can you tell me what foods seem to stay longer? I just had my second fill. I can feel a little restriction, but not much. I feel the food go through slowly, but nothing is staying in my pouch. Thank you!!!!!

2 months post-op, 1 fill, still not working
heathermc replied to tophermiller's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in the same place!!! I just had a second fill. I now have a total of 5cc's. I can feel the food slowing down, but it's not stopping like it should. Sounds like we are all in the same boat. I would love to keep in contact with you all to update each other. Oh ya, I gained 4 pounds since surgery. -
Has anyone failed the nicotine blood test?
heathermc replied to heathermc's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thank you so much for the information! I haven't had any alcohol for a month or so, so I I should be good there. My insurance has already been approved, but my doctor requires the nicotine blood test. I'm sure it will be fine. I'm a big worry wart! Thanks again! -

If they find any nicotine in my blood, they will automatically reschedule the blood test for 8 weeks out. I take the test next week. I will let you all know how it turns out. Thank you!
