    The Price of Mexico

That's how I am now ... if I make it to 9:30 I'm doing good ... and I used to go to bed at midnight and get up at 5 ... now I go to bed about 9;30-10 and fight myself to get up at 6 ... and I sleep through the night
  2. Yes, I did and he hasn't responded yet. I didn't make it last night, I was too wiped out after work. We're leaving tonight for Calexico so not sure that I'll be online at all this evening.
  3. They will accept charge cards and debit cards too. We were not changed an extra 3% for using our charge card. I was charged .12 by my bank for a $12 purchase with my debit card however.

I was lactose intolerant before the surgery and I haven't really tried any milk related items since so I don't know if that has changed or not -- would be great if it has! I'm wondering if the intolerance to sweet things will go away or if we will always find things too sweet ... haven't tried anything salty ... are things too salty for you now too?
  5. I agree with Norma -- just go away and quit trying to force your own opinions and your doctor on those that are here for the true purpose. If you need to advertise your business or your doctors, see Alex and pay for your advertising -- otherwise, bugger off~!

    Changed My Mind!

    What pictures? Where? I don't see them -- I can't find them ... I wanna see them!!!!!!!
  7. The sleeve isn't painful. I had my surgery on 6/12 and went back to work on 6/19. I would have gone back a day earlier; however, I was having diarhhea and thought it better to stay home that day!

    The Price of Mexico

Sorry you had a difficult go of it -- I didn't have any trouble in the hospital at all; I walked alot and that seemed to help the gas move around ... of course it can be rather boring if you don't have a companion go with you. Oh yeah- the night in the resort includes your companion, too and they can stay in the hospital with you the entire time for no extra charge.

    The Price of Mexico

Hi Star and welcome! Dr. Aceves total cost is $9500USD for first time sleevers (meaning not a revision). That price includes all pre-tests, one night in a resort, the surgery, the anethesia, and 3 nights in the hospital, all medication and all post-op tests. You also get a copy of your blood work, your chest x-ray, your GI xray and your operative report when you check out of the hospital. It also includes transportation from San Diego to Mexicali and Mexicali to San Diego. He is running a special for July of $8950.

Unless they are jealous that you had the "guts" to go through with it and they don't.

    3rd Aug is my turn

Lots of you in August - good luck to all of you!
  13. Congratulations and good luck on your surgery -- we'll be waiting to hear how everything went. And 10 lbs in two weeks is great girl -- what a start!

I will have to give that a try -- I didn't care for the twisted cherry -- it was good at first but then you got the aftertaste and it wouldn't stay mixed -- all the protein fell to the bottom and you could see it -- and when you shook it, then it got bubbly on top ... it's a 1 out of 5 for me

    WOW--so happy!!

It didn't hurt coming out - was a very strange feeling - but not pain ... can't explain it, just a weird feeling. Once they took it out, the incision was a bit sore, but again, nothing untolerable.

I did it, i did it, i did it

That's why I do the hairdryer and baby powder with cornstartch -- gold bond didn't work for me either -- but the combination of the hairdryer and baby powder seems to do the trick - even when it's 115 here in Las Vegas ... just a thought - I know it won't work for everyone.

    WOW--so happy!!

It wasn't excrutiatingly painful, more of an annoyance ... or a bad bruise --- hard to explain, but very tolerable. You'll do fine IF your surgeon uses one. It was only there from surgery until Sunday -- surgery was on Friday. BTW -- like your new avatar -- fits with the "sexy" part I think

You "DONE" good Daisy -- the link worked!!!! Thanks for the info. I think I may have found the "ONE" with the Syntrax Nectar - going to try another flavor today ... will let you know.

I did it, i did it, i did it

Awww honey that is so nice -- I didn't even see this post until this morning. Thank you! I have the same issue and I haven't even lost weight -- I guess I will start having it documented too if there is a possibility my insurance will pay for it ...although am wondering if they will include this in the exclusion of "any WLS surgery"? One thing I do to help prevent the rash is that I take a hairdryer on cool/low and dry the area thoroughly after every shower -- I do the same thing under the girls -- it really helps to keep the rashes to a minimum. Baby powder helps, too.

    Is this how it is?????

Thanks Susan - that was on one of my threads. I can deal with the felling full - what is getting to me is constantly feeling sick and being aware that I've had surgery. I was prepared for eating less; however, I think 3-4 teaspoonfuls was not quite what I was expecting. I feel as though the belching is probably from excess air that is still in my stomach and will eventually go away (at least according to WASa). Bearded is concerned as he has had to see/listen to my complaints and I can't say I blame him -- I wouldn't want to go through surgery and think it is going to be this way forever. Thank you and others for letting him know that I'm "not normal" :001_tongue: and for giving me hope that it will improve over time.
  21. I agree with you -- I have found that I really really like the tropical punch crystal lite popsicles - they have a GREAT flavor. Albertson's had them on sale (may still be) for $1.99 box - they're not even that cheap at Wal-Mart ($2.38)

Happy to be of service -- I always start my day here, too. :lol0:

    Breast and shoe size???

I hope my cup size doesn't go down - however, I am hoping the band size goes down a lot ... wonder if that is possible ... My shoe size grew with each pregnancy -- thank goodness there were only 2 - so I went from a size 8 to a size 10 ... I'm hoping they get smaller - although will cost a fortune to replace all my boots and shoes ... worth it for the weight loss though! Thank goodness, too, that he doesn't have man boobs! ... and he's already saving his money for my perk job and implants in necessary.
