    NSV shout outs

I've noticed that on me, too, Tiff - and can't remember the last time I was able to see them ... Also, went to Kohl's (dangerous for me) and tried on several tops - XL was too big and L was too tight -- so I didn't get either -- will go back in another 10 lbs and try on the L - can't remember the last time I was in a size "L"... and My daughter-in-law stopped by the office today to get something I'd bought for her and she said "You're getting SO SKINNY" ... LOL ... now I am FAR from skinny but was nice to hear someone say so. I will be seeing my oldest son tomorrow night - haven't seen him since my surgery -- another story in and of itself - so will be interesting to see if he says anything ...

    My FIRST pair of Jeans!!

Chancie - That is SO AWESOME (on the jeans) - congrats! I know what you mean about staying away from Kohl's - it's dangerous for me! As for the guy flirting - go with it! LOL ... and ask him to take a picture of your ass in your jeans! :lol0:
  3. I'd take the Chike samples - let me know!

Had a GOOD day today :))

Okay, I've forgotten a LOT of things in my life, but even since surgery, I've never FORGOTTEN to eat -- chose not to eat, yes, forgotten - NO WAY!
  5. Dale - I agree with Susan - just chill - you will be fine -- and don't even mention it to your surgeon - one day of a "screw-up" isn't going to undue what you've already done and what you will do from here on out. Next time, though - pay attention!:scared0:

    Jeans

Alrighty then, they're your's - I'll get another box and box them up - haven't got the others to the post office yet - hoping Bearded will do that for me tomorrow!
  7. Have him call me or email me at my personal email address - vegasangel1958@yahoo.com -- both my fiance and I had surgery by Dr. Aceves--or email Nina and ask her to have Dr. Aceves or Dr. Campos call your husband directly.

    Chat appears to be down

Sorry I missed this last night - wasn't even on the site as I didn't get home until 8:30 and was in bed at 9:30 -- can't adjust to this "fall back" timing - must be getting "old"! Anyway, I sent a message to Alex so hopefully he'll either reply or fix the issue -- you both will have the opportunity to check it out before I get home tonight - let me know!

LUCK - first and foremost, WELCOME to VST we are SO GLAD to have a "VETERAN" amongst us and will be, possibly, overloading you with questions - be prepared! LOL I am glad to hear you say that dry crunchy things seem to go down easy - I find that too - I love to eat cheese and crackers, or crackers with tuna or chicken salad. When other things won't go down, or don't sound good, cheese and crackers always seem to work. I am having a difficult time getting in all my fluids since surgery - which is frustrating to me, because before surgery, I could easily drink 80 oz. of Water in a day. Now, I try to focus on staying hydrated and I think I am doing okay with that. Thank you for sharing your story and I look forward to reading more from you! Congrats on your weight loss and your maintenance! Joon - Welcome to VST as well, we are happy to have you our family as well and will look forward to following your progress.
  12. Lan - I had that problem too - sometimes still do - not sure what brings it on, but there were times when I just couldn't bring myself to eat/drink something I had fixed. Generally when I got/get that way, I make sure to get in my fluids and then I find anything I can tolerate - seems string cheese seemed to go down easy. I tried to get in as much Protein as I could; although I didn't always get in my 60-70 gms. Staying hydrated is the most important thing; although you need to give your body nutrients, too -- hang in there, this too shall pass.
  13. LadyDaDa - I don't know anything about Dr. Ganta; however, I did want to take the time to welcome you to VST. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, someone will always have an answer for you.
  14. Daisy - I have the same problem, doesn't seem to matter what I eat (or don't) eat, I have gas; however, as Bob said, it's not toxic, although still embarrassing. Bob - you are hilarious and I love to read your posts ... butt flutters ... too funny I bought some probiotics and they are sitting on my desk at work and I still haven't taken the first one - guess I should give that a try.

    Scar?

I have 5 small incisions - two of them about 1/2" long, the others much smaller -- the smaller ones are barely visible now - 5 months out - and the other two are starting to fade too.

    pseudotumor cerebri

DON'T EVEN PUT THAT OUT THERE -- no negatives allowed ... and the new normal is abnormal anyway ... LOL
  17. KZol - welcome to VST and thank you for sharing your experience in CR. As Susan said, lots of us on this site had our surgeries in Mexico. Mine was performed by Dr. Aceves in Mexicali at Almater Hospital and I will tell you that it is the cleanest hospital I have EVER been in - they clean constantly - no need to disinfect anything. They also don't make you walk to or from the OR. Read everyone's stories, or to save time, do a search for Mexicali or Mexico and you will find lots of stories and experiences to read. I will say that my experience in Mexicali is the best experience with a surgeon/ hospital that I have EVER experienced and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Aceves, his staff and Almater Hospital to ANYONE considering WLS surgery.

    NSV at Old Navy!

If that's the case, the Old Navy may become my new "favorite" store -- it's the tag size that counts! :w00t:

    Exercise help here, please!

Oh, no, the exercise gets easier - lots easier - it's just that the motivation still isn't always there ... me, I love working out after work - but forget the mornings - I always think I'll get up and work out, but then morning time comes and all good thoughts go out the door ...

    New to sleeve

Gurgles and spasms are normal - the spasms not so much routine as the gurgles, but normal - I'm almost 5 months out and still have the spasms and the gurgles.

    New to sleeve

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your surgery - the tiredness is to be expected because of the lack of protein - once you get on mushies, you'll have more energy. As for the issues involved following the heated argument, I can't really give you any information as I haven't had any heated arguments and no quivers.

One step closer MtnLover ... 20th will be here before you know it!
  23. Joanne -- sorry that your appeal was denied - that is so unfair. I hope that you are able to secure an alternative and we'll be here to support you in whatever your decision may be.
  24. Southernlawyer - Welcome to the VST Family, we're happy to have you join us. The dry mouth issue is a pain - I wake up sometimes with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth and not a drop of spit anywhere - I have to keep Water by my bedside all the time. I just figured it was because I slept with my mouth open; but maybe it's due to something else - if you do ask your doctor - let us know what he has to say. As for the blood clots, I know there are a few on this forum who have developed them following surgery - thankfully, I was not one of them; I'm sorry to hear that you were.

Steph - chances are it wasn't even down into your stomach - it may have been stuck in your esophogus - so it came up a lot easier.
