    Restriction....finally?!?!

I am so glad I decided to read posts today. I have had 3 fills and feel very little restriction also. I am losing some weight because I am eating healthy and exercising. I hope I will get more help with my next fill. It is good to know that others are having the same issue.
  4. BamBam Thank you so much for your comments. I am 3.5 weeks post op and I can eat sooo much. Between the pre-op diet and the two weeks of pureed food I lost 12 pounds. Now I am refusing to weigh myself and look forward to my first fill on June 2nd.
  5. I felt pretty bad for two days after surgery. Bad gas pains and an anxiety reaction from the anesthesia. Short walks, naps helped a little, but I had real trouble sleeping. by day 3 things started to get better and by day 5 I was really back to being me. Hang in there it does get better!
  6. when you find out-let me know! I designed a ticker but can't get it attached. I am also 1 week post op (plus one day) and am feeling good. Congrats on your success so far.

    straight to pureed foods?

HI I was banded on 4/27 and I started on pureed foods the next day. for the first day of pureed foods I had to eat 1oz at a time. Next day more. It has been a week and I feel great. I have my post op appt on 5/13 and then again on 6/2. I do not get a fill before 6/2. From reading a lot on this site it is clear that every doctor does it differently.

    Just Banded with the Blues

Hi I was banded on 4/27 and the first two days post op were not happy ones. I had terrible gas pain (gas X strips helped a little) and was very anxious. Anesthesia and the way they do laproscopic surgery can do both of these things to your body. It took a few days, but they both went away. Tomorrow makes one week and I can't believe the difference in the way I feel. Try and hang in there. I was told to each very small amounts (1-2 ozs) of pureed foods and alternate with liquids. It helped and the frequent small amounts of liquids keeps you hydrated. Write again on Friday and tell us how you feel!

    banded on 4/27.

hi Three days post band (4/27) and I am doing well. I am able to eat small amounts of pureed foods and am doing some walking. I was lucky, did not have to stay overnight in the hospital. The only issue I still have is that sleeping on my side hurts and I cannot sleep on my back. Glad all the other bandsters from this week are also doing well. How do you get the tickerfactory object to attach to the bottom of your message?
  10. Hi I am one day post op too. took my first short walk this am. I feel like I made it to the other side also. Good luck

    banded on 4/27.

Hi I am being banded 4/27 also! I can't believe it's tomorrow. I am nervous and also a little tired of optifast diet. I am glad to read that so many are recovering well. Will post again after the surgery

    straight to pureed foods?

I am being banded on 4/27 and the protocol from the Drs office says I will be able to have 1-2 ozs of mushie food day after surgery as tolorated. Mushie food for two weeks then soft solids.

What Protein Supplement do you Prefer?

Hi I am getting banded on 4/27 and am on opti fast now. I have tried the Myoplex from GNC and did not like it. I think I will try a few from other's suggestions.
