It will be 4 month on the 10th of August and I have lost 87lbs so far. Last month I was able to take my daughter on her first trip to Sea World and Disneyland, it was awsome. We ran all over the parks and I was able for the 1st time in my life able to ride the rides in comfort. I was unable to walk 50 feet prior to the surgery with out passing out and every bone in my legs used to hurt.. I am thankful everyday that I followed through the tough process of getting the surgery approved and also the starvation just after the surgey. Anyone feeling that they want to give up don't it is oh so worth it.... To all hang in there and your doing great keep it up....:cursing:

Well it has been 5 weeks today since my lap band surgery and I am lovin life. I have lost 40lbs since my surgery date of 4-10-09 and I have never felt better, I am able to workout and run 2 miles a day now and play like crazy with my daughter. Having the band put in was a life saving decision for me and I am glad to have done it so I wanted to tell all those who are thinking about the band or who have had the band and are frustrated don't worry and get it done, if you have the band just be paitent and listen to your body and modify the plan if need be and find a workout plan that works for you, all I do is 30 minutes a day and you will have amazing results.. Good luck to all and stay healthy...

what is wrong with me!
azdolfin03 replied to sandi1011's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have just entered my 5th week and I am working with solid food and I had lost a total of 17lbs between the fluid and mushy stage. I lived on cottage cheese and thousand Island, tuna, fresh fruit steamed to mush and frozen yogurt and orange juice shake also imitation crab meat minced. The only advice I can give is watch the SF stuff if it contains aspertaim or sweet n low substance don't eat it. As for canned fruit my Doc told me to stay away because of the sugar and use real fruit just mush. I have been walking on my treadmill started at 5 min at about the 3rd week and just increased and it seemed to have worked for me but don't get frustrated as they say the first 6 weeks are for healing.. -

My doctor took me off of Lasix & said not to take it any longer after I had the lapband surgery. I am wondering if anyone knows why?? I retain water easily & am retaining way too much water again...I have already put a call into my doctor to ask if I can start taking lasix again, but thought I would ask on here while I wait...I drink alot of water all day & only go to the restroom 2x a day!! Thank you for your help.

Did anyone else start eating mushy food earlier than the 3rd week?
azdolfin03 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am into my 2nd week of having the lap band...I have lost 16 lbs already & am so excited. I have a question....did anyone else out there eat any of the "mushy" stage early? I had a couple of small bites of refried beans last night & feel great & noticed I felt a lot better as I think I needed the iron in the beans. I mean eating just chicken broth & cream soups really leaves me with no energy to exercise. I know alot of this depends on the person, but would feel better knowing that there may be others like myself...thank you so much for your POSITIVE feedback. -

I am wondering if anyone has any advice. I have felt nautious since yesterday. Today I had the dry heaves 1x...should I call my doctor or has anyone else experienced this before? When should I be concerned. Thank you everyone; maybe I am paranoid, but better safe than sorry. -
