i am thinking scar tissue healing. i had that feeling with a band and went on complete defill and stayed like that for 6 months, on liquids for a few weeks and it went away. Hang in there but do check it out

Congrads to all with the revision. I have a lapband, paid 1600, low bmi and lost 35 pounds with the band, need to loose another 25. I am at a sweet spot but loosing nada. Plannign to go to sleeve next year

It all depends how big of a stomach your doctor makes. A friend of mine had sleeve on nov 5 and already lost 29 pounds.

Be Careful using their last names for search as they all have similar names. Look for all 3 names in their names to match. Its bloody confusing

Good Morning all. I have a lapband but researching a conversion to VS. A friend of mine is going to TJ to have a VS. I am here to support her and find others who are going at the same time. She will have Dr Fernando Garcia as a surgeon and today she will get a date. I am going to Mexico with her. I had plastic surgery done with Dr Carmina Cardenas and she does have a Bariatric surgeon on staff Dr Filipe Garcia. The reason my friend did not pick him is lack of information on here about him. He performed VS on Dr Cardenas and her assistant. Believe or not, they only had 20-30 pounds to loose. They did it for life maintenance. There are many good surgeons in TJ. Dealing with co-ordinators and great prices is best but please make sure you advocate for yourself and don't let the price make you think you should expect less. Make sure surgeon has general surgeon licence, laparoscopic licence and bariatric surgeon licence. Ask many questions and be educated. If your gut feels good then go with it.

no you dont have to have a co-ordinator. there are many ways you can do it on your own but the fees may be higher
