  1. Hi there Lady Bandsters... I was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced something similar to this. I had my surgery on May 20th 2010 - and had a completely normal cycle a week after surgery. However I was scheduled to start again on June 26th and ....NOTHING! I've heard a lack of nutrition can cause this, but I've been pretty good about my Vitamins and Protein etc... Is this fairly common or do I need to go grab a variety of EPTS? HELP!
  2. Thanks gals for the advice... As far as the waiting period to have have sex... the general rule of thumb is 3 to 4 days but I was actually only ONE day post op - we were very careful, and he did all the work but still.. haha just listen to your body, and be careful not to hurt yourself
  3. Don't worry - I had the same feeling of not being full. I just had my first fill, and it's a little better than it was but it still isnt super tight. The main point is to be healthy, and patient with yourself.
  4. Try FillcentersUSA.com There are 3 in California. One is in Novato, which should be less than an hours drive from you.

  5. HELLO! I just logged back on... haha, I have been recovering myself. Im SO GLAD your surgery went well, and Im even happier that your mom wouldnt let you back out. Im a week and a half post op, and Im still trying to figure out when Im hungry, or full etc. This pain in my neck/shoulder is driving me NUTS! Its weird because it's not even a true shoulder pain. How much weight have you lost so far? Im down 15 pounds, but I can't tell it in my clothes yet. :(

  6. Hey there! How'd it go? I had mine on May 20th, and MY big fear was the IV... I HATE IV's anyway, everything else went great! Let me know how yours went.

    Waiting for sex...

I waited exactly ONE day. LOL As everyone else says, just be careful. I obviously didn't do the "work" but I assure you my husband didn't mind
  8. OMG I feel so nervous!!! Part of me is SO super excited... but I am losing sleep at night b/c I'm scared too. PLUS I will be flying to Mexico for my surgery, and I've never even been on a plane. I only have 3 days of Clear liquids before surgery, Is that normal? I am seeing a lot of people that have 2 weeks of liquids. Any general advice here? What if I don't fit on the plane??
  9. Well Happy Birthday Ms Cafe!!! Okay I'm glad to know that Im not the only one on a short liquid diet... Im glad mine is this way though, because even though we don't get a jump start, I HATE the feeling of being hungry, and I mean really hungry, where you get the hunger pangs etc... THATS why I can't seem to successfully lose weight in the first place. I'm just ready to get this show on the road. Tomorrow is my first day or clear liquids. I have my sugar-free jello ready to go, along with my crystal light, and my chicken broth!
  10. Thanks for the advice Butterfly! I have a few audio books on my Zune that I am planning on listening to. I'm glad that you've had previous experience with the airplanes. Like you said, this trip will be the LAST time I'd need one... Thank GOD! Peprmentpati - which doc are you going to in Mexico? I am going to Dr. Roberto Rumbaut in Monterrey. Have you gotten a lot of crap from friends and family about the Mexico thing? Everyone is so scared of having surgery done in a different country. per my research, my Dr is world renown, and actually teaches and mentors US doctors... PLUS he's more than HALF the price... whats not to like? :smile2: Being a self-pay you have to go with what works.
  11. LOL @ Silly Sally... Girl you are RIGHT about that!!! I can't wait to get away from the perfume isle in V.S. I look forward to being able to take advantage of sales, because they'll actually HAVE MY SIZE. I look forward to being comfortable in my skin, and not having to crack nervous jokes about my weight. I look forward to being able to sit in any random plastic lawn chair and FITTING!!!

    My First Fill!!!

Wow... well... I'd FAR rather know what to expect... I'm one of those people who has to watch myself get a shot... I don't like not knowing. I'm having my surgery done on a Thursday, and hoped to be back at work Monday or Tuesday... does that seem likely, judging from your experience? Are you happy over all with the procedure? I hope your port site gets to feeling better, and also... did you feel weird after your first fill?

    My First Fill!!!

Thats great that you didn't have any pain associated with the fill. My surgery is scheduled for May 20th, and I'm a bit nervous about the process. You mentioned that the port site is still a bit sore, and it's been almost a month since your procedure... How sore are you still? I'm trying to figure out whats "normal" and what isn't so that I know what to expect in May.
  14. Dr. Roberto Rumbaut is my doc, and I am way nervous. My fear is that going to Mexico wouldn't be as safe as going somewhere here in the US. HOWEVER everyone I've spoken with at Dr Rumbaut's office has seemed very professional, not to mention the Dr's glowing resume. Has anyone else been to Mexico for this surgery, or has anyone else scheduled a surgery with this doctor? Any general words of advice for me, as a pre-op patient? Thanks yall! -Jessica
  15. Thats Awesome!!! I have a fill center close to me as well... Lucky huh? I'm glad that the experience was good for you. Thanks so much for sharing
