I have lost from 289lbs, to 214lbs. i am feeling pretty good. when i was healthy and active i use to weigh around 180 . but i was thinking if i get to 200 i will be happy. I am 6' tall and i guess a medium build. my hip bones are starting to show. but i still have some belly left to go. LOL. What are your goal weights. How long has it taken you to get there. I had surgery on august 10 2009.

I think i will not worry about goals right now, as long as i am still losing and feeling good i am not going to worry about that. As for exercise i try to walk as often as possible but bad weather has slowed that down. i have some small dumbells that i curl and do other excersize about ever night. i do watch what i eat and try to keep the calories down to around 1000 a day. i was eating alot less but was not loosing as much as i did when i started eating more . the last couple of weeks have been tough to eat right. too much candy everwhere LOL. but i have still lost but not as much. I will get back to walking and start doing better after christmas. i think im getting burned out. I go back to Doctor on jan. 12 may get a fill to help me curb my appetite. thing is i dont really get hungry now but i am getting tempted very easily...guess i need a pep talk. I took a drink of diet coke this eve. firt ive had since surgery, but my son took it away from me and poured it out..I guess he has my back..LOL

congratulations. I was banded on 8-10-09. I have had two fills the last one two weeks ago, i have lost from 289 to 220. but this week my weight loss has stalled. been bouncing from 220 to 221 all week. I guess i need to start walking more.. LOL. cant wait to get back on track this has inspired me..

Congratulations. I had my surgery on august 11, and i am down from 286 to 234 already. i have been trying to walk as much as possible but i have back problems ,and i have trouble some days i hope with more weight loss i my back will ease off. your story is inspiring. we started at about the same weight. hope i do as well. Had a bad day today and came here looking for som inspiration. thanks..

You look amazing, i really needed to be inspired. I am two and half weeks post surgery and have lost over 20LBS. i try to stick to the diet but its tough for me i am divorced and live along, my girlfried got mad at me for having the surgery . so im on my own. I am no good at shoping but im trying to learn. I think ive not been eating enough. but i havent been hungry. so i havent worried about it. but thanks for the inspiration

I had surgery mon. I feel pretty good. I have been out walking in my yard. I hit a little depression last night and today. but i guess thats normal..LOL my sorness has improved greatly overnight..l I walked down my driveway and had a time getting back , i have a very steep driveway. but flat land is no problem. hope you get to feeling better

I just had surgery yesterday, and The Doc told me how too take my blood pressure meds and such , but i cant remmeber if he said to crush them . the nusrs said just take them . think i will call tommorrow to make sure..Hey its good to see a fellow kentuckian on here. I am set for surgery monday, just found out this monday, had almost giving up and got a call on my cell phone . It was the Doctors Office said they had everthing they needed and i was scheduled for surgery, had a preop class yesterday. Friday i have a gallbladder scan. and meet with the doc. Have to have clear liguid diet sat. and sun. I am starting to get nervous. but i want this pretty bad . I am Divorced and live along . They said i needed to have somone stay with me for 3 days. so i lied and told them i had someone...LOL. My girlfriend doesnt want me to have it, so she is out of the picture now . so I am going to go it along. My son is supportive of me doing this so it wont be so bad. sorry for the rambling. Just excited and scared at the same time...

yes i have a big family and they live near me now, so i will be fine on that. The funny thing is they scheduled my surgery on the same day that just about everone in my famlly has an important appointment of some kind... what are the chances of that...LOL. but they will be there when they can

I have had a stress test , blood work , EKG, and chest x-ray. I have also had a psyc. evaluation. I go may 11 for a nutrition class. Did everone else have to have all of this befor you got a surgery date? I am starting to get exited but for some reason i am eating more than ever. LOL guess its like my last chance to binge.

Just got a call from the Dr. office, seems that my stress test came back abnormal and my blood work showed some problems. I thought i was perfectly healthy. except high blood pressure and cholesterol. I have had back surgery. nothing showed up on stress test then i hope its just a mistake.

I have been thinking about the lapband for a year now, and have already had my psych. evaluation. Now i have my first doc. appointment. Starting to worry already, hope this is right for me...
