:thumbup: I'm new and need hlep. I had my lap band surgery in Richardson TX, on July 7, 2007. My dr, is Frank Felts and was/is wonderful. He has just moved and opened new office in McKinney TX. My problem is I have moved also. Going to see a new doc next week. Would like to know if any one out there has used, seen or knows of this new doc, Kim Marley? He is in Windber, PA. Would love to get some info on him b4 i see him. I have tried looking on web, but found posting from early 2000, would love someone with newer info to help me. Thanks all, have a great day! :thumbup: I am 50, and had my band July 7, 2007. I LOVE it! I have lost 100 lbs. I was a size 22, now size 4. I can do things i haven't been able to do in years and love it all. I'm a happier person because of the weight loss. I am 5 1 and live in PA. I am only sorry that I didn't have my band done sooner. I did lots of research, and decided it was the best choice for me, not many risks as far as I was able to determine. I have had no problems with my band. I have had friends that have had the surgery since I have had mine and they are doing well. The only thing you need to consider when making this choice, is how much weight you want to lose and if you are really going to do "everything" you can to lose the weight. One friend, thought she would just get the band and it would all come off. The first couple of months this worked, then nothing. If you don't eat the right foods and move, it won't work. You need to "WANT" the weight off and do anything you can to achive that goal. If you do those things all will be well and work out for you. I wish you good luck in your decision and know that no matter what you decide it will be the best thing for you!!
