Yeah so far no probs..When I was waking up I felt the same with the pain but I havent even taken anything for pain meds since that first day..Everyone is different. Everybody warned me about the gas pains and shoulder pain but I got very little. I know I am lucky. I wish you well and will look forward to later post telling of your progress:) -
I think first you need to believe you can make a life change..Whatever you decide it is a life change. The band will help you fill up faster therefore you will eat less and be satisfied. The thing with eating the right foods is that you are eating so much less that without watching what it is you just dont get the nutrients is all. Good luck with what you decide

I had my surgery 4/7 I have lost 12lbs this week! I know that will change once more substance is added. Before my procedure we follow the strick south beach phase one but I have heard many people have liquids before as well. Must depend on the doctor. I have had no probs yet and hope not to. Well other than wanting terribly to chew something!!!!I wish you luck -
Things will get better..I was banded 4/7 and pretty much feel no restriction yet. When they get it right you will know.Drink slow and dont gulp. I am still on the liquid phase and am trying to have any smoth soup available. I don't like the protien shakes at all and that is a downer since i have to choke hem down:) I will wish you luck.

Am I going to make it or am I going to fail?

Wow what a great read..I am just recently banded(4/7). I am already hating the liquid stage and trying to experiment with different soups. I do love soup..but i love to cook it so i am experimenting with new soup recipes. I hope everything starts to fall into place for you. You mentioned protein shots??What are they and where can I find them? I really hate the protein shakes and cant stand to drink them. Make sure you are eating enough calories..if not your body wont let you loose weight..it will store the fat thinking you will need it later..:rolleyes2: -
Still nothing lost.....almost gained!

You will do great...everything takes time. I was just banded this week and hate this liquid part. I do not like the protien shakes at all so i am trying to do good cream soups. I am making split pea now that i will puree smooth. I love to cook and just cant do so at this point. I am learning so much in this whole process. I terribly miss my coffee and cant wait to get that back:) -
I am curious were your bands put in deflated? Is this your first fill? I had my surgery 4/7 and my surgeon put it in partially inflated. I am not thrilled with the protein shakes but know i need the nutrients. 4/16 starts my pureed. I find so far i am not too hungry and am having to force myself to drink

hang in there I was banded on the 7th and am feeling better every day. I dont fel too hungry so i am having problems forcing the liquids. I hate the protien shakes. I choke them down cause i know i need the energy they can give..I have gotten some smooth cream soup to try today.
