Has anyone cheated on their post surgery diet?

I was banded 6 days ago. Holding up pretty well, exept for the "head hunger". Does anybody out there have an opinion about SUGAR FREE candy like Life Savers ?... I am diabetic with a HUGE sweet tooth ! I suck on the candy until there is nothing left on them before they go down. ANY OPINIONS ? This is my first post on this website. I had my surgery in Tijuana, MX.. and it was a wonderful experience! Dr. Lopez-Corvala was very professional and the staff treated you like a "PERSON" and not a number! The band is doing well for me but it is just A TOOL as you will read throughout this forum.. it is by NO MEANS A "QUICK FIX" as my weight loss can attest to... it still takes determination and some effort on your part! i am not familiar with the 1-800 number you spoke of.. I had my surgery set up through beliteusa.com the care coordinator helped me set up the financing and my plan/travel plans.. They were great! Good Luck! and God Bless!

thank u 4 the compliment!!!!!!! i was banded on oct 6th 2008...as of 2-day im down 116 pounds...those r NOT typical results...i was expecting to lose a 100 in a year..but i follow the program to a t...exercise...and my body just took real well to this surgery.
