"Hi there, I am very new to this and a little bit lost. I live in Orange County/Los Angeles Area and see TONS of ads for 1-888-get slim. Anyone out there have any comments or experience with them ? I am very ready to take the step and do this. I am at least 50 lbs overweight with a BMI of 33.9 and have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Would I be a good candidate for this surgery ?... any good Dr to recommend in the OC/ Los Angeles area ?.... what is the average monthly weight loss after the surgery ?... any feedback will be much appreciated ! thank you !" I had my surgery in Tijuana, MX.. and it was a wonderful experience! Dr. Lopez-Corvala was very professional and the staff treated you like a "PERSON" and not a number! The band is doing well for me but it is just A TOOL as you will read throughout this forum.. it is by NO MEANS A "QUICK FIX" as my weight loss can attest to... it still takes determination and some effort on your part!
