Hello- Well, I am just at about 3 weeks post-op. I had my post appointment just to make sure everything is still in place last week. I had lost 11 pounds (I honestly had hoped for more). I have been doing some light exercising on our Wii fit, but haven't dropped anymore weight. I am a tad frustrated and am unsure what I am doing wrong. I eat about as much as my 5 year old daughter (on a salad plate) at meals . Will the weight come off more after I get my first fill in a few weeks? I am hoping for 2-3 lbs a week. Is that to unrealistic? My port area and my left side where my ribs are seem to be still sore. I am not sure how long this will last. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hi Meredith. I have recently been banded. I started my process in November with seminars and a ton of doctor appointments. I had my surgery on March 18th. I am happy I chose this bariatric surgery over the others. I am still getting used to a lot of things right now. It is a slower process, but I think it is going to much more worth it in the long run. I am hoping not to have too baggy of skin. =0)

No, I am not really measuring meats. And... I am not eating a ton of protein. Maybe that is my problem. On days I don't feel so great, I try to have canned soup. Some days my stomach feels like it is going to explode from all the gas!!! Yikes!

Zabrim, Since you were banded near the same time I was, do you feel completely healed and no pain? Or do you still have some pain?

Hi there. I am brand new to this site. I was banded March 18th and to date I am still at 12 lbs since prior to surgery. I had hoped to lose quite a bit the first couple of weeks (due to liquid diet and such). I have to say I too am disappointed to have only lost 12 lbs in 3+ weeks. My BIGGEST problem is that I weigh myself 2-3 times a day. It is ridiculous! I need to have my husband hide the scales, but it is like an addiction. I get so discouraged if I jump on and I haven't lost any - or worse!!! I gained a pound!
