LOL!! Oh, that really made me laugh! Yep, I've got an incision under my left boob. I know how hard it is to manuver to bandage it - can't imagine how things must have looked during the surgery.

I experienced my first pseudo "stuck" last night. OMG! Let me tell you it is no fun. I was so hungry I must have been eating my mashed potatoes too fast. Then all of a sudden this pain in my chest and feeling like I had something stuck in my throat. It really hurt! Then it occured to me what must have happened. What a way to learn  I'm glad it was just potatoes and not solid food! I drank a lot of water and it felt like the potatoes washed through - but I still had a strange feeling in my throat all evening. It's small bites from now on for me! Anyone else had this happen to them?

Hi everyone, Hope you are all doing well. Sorry, I have not checked in for a while. It's day 14 for me and I'm healing pretty well. My belly is slowly changing back to one color, LOL. Stitches are out - but I sure won't be showing my scars on that "scar stages" thread! Take care!

I did not do a pre-op diet, and I don't think I'm suffering for it. I had my "last supper" Sunday night then no food or drink until after surgery. That was probably the hardest part because with the travel to Mexico and a delay in my surgery time - I ended up fasting for 24 hours! When I got to the hospital they gave me an IV of fluids - never thought I could have been so excited for an IV! Anyhow, after surgery things were different. I mostly rested for the next 2 days and really was not all that interested in food. I have been getting hungry in the last few days. But, it is a different type of hunger. I am satisfied after eating one of those little applesauce cups. Seeing food comercials is hard because it all looks so good (must be head hunger). But, I've noticed that I'm not all that interested in the food my DH is eating. Guess, all I can really tell you is that things are different now. BTW- I'm down 10 pounds since surgery - that just makes the liquid phase a bit easier to do!

Hi all! I'm back and doing great. I went to Tijuana for my surgery on Monday. I can tell you that every day it gets easier. I had some pain and strange twitches the first 2 days. But that has all gone away. I have not had the pain meds since Wednesday. I have to keep looking at my incisions and bruises to remind myself I even have a band! Tummy is still sore getting up and bending over. But all of you with your surgeries coming up - it's really no problem. My only complaint is I'm Hungry!! The liquids just seem to run right out of my stomach. Oh well, I'm going to go make some broth now and that will keep me satisfied for a while. Take care!

I've been semi avoiding this site for the last few days. I got a sudden case of fear and doubt - guess I thought if I avoid the site I won't be thinking about it. But, I'm glad I came back to read everyone's posts before I go to Mexico. You all are a great support! By this time tomorrow it will be all over. I'm still nervous - but I'm determined to make this work! Tell you all about it when I get back...

Chako, Thanks for your reply. I was kinda wondering if the doctors in the US would be too conservative. I will have to talk to my doctor about this when I go for the surgery. -
