Hiya!! I actually live in NYC and wanted to know are there any members who recently underwent surgery? I am scheduled for 9/22 if approval goes well with my 1199 insurance. :laugh: Does anyone have any suggestions on a pre-op menu that I can follow or different suggestions. I have an appt on 9/8 for pretesting and the actually testing on the 15th.. I wanted to start a bit earlier with the pre-op diet. Thanks.

I have been looking at your posts and have been amazed at how fabulous you look. You seem to be and feel so happy.. I wish you continued success with your new lifestyle changes. I myself am in the waiting stages with two more visits to go and then in August I will see my surgeon and give him all of the information for final approval. I noticed that you showed a dish that you were eating your food from is that the 8 oz or 4 oz? I am hoping that you can share some of your get fit tips especially exercising and how did you manage to do skin toning? Hiya, I am happy to hear that everything thing went well with your surgery and it was uneventful... How did you manage being away from family and all. Did your DH reach out to you? I don't think that it is wrong to have a visual picture in your mind cause lord knows when I finally have surgery and reach my goal .. I will be shopping and be "Forever 21" .. but that is just me.. I really want to be able to shop and find nice casual - preppy and sexy shirts!!! Keep posting and let us know how you are doing... I actually live in NYC. Take care.

I am really sorry at what happened between you and your DH. It leads me to believe that maybe he is scared of losing you and the changes that you will be making. How long have you been married? I am hoping that everything goes well despite this and you have a very healthy and uneventful surgery. Even though it will be hard due to the distance and not knowing anyone.. you will be okay because you are a strong determined woman who is making a life decision. Take care

I am so happy for you .. you are truly blessed. Please continue to enjoy your life and journey towards a better you. I have not been banded as yet.. I have another visit and will receive my date but I still have to await my insurance approval which would be sometime in August. Take care and I wish you the best. -

I wanted to send you this message because I saw that you have NYC and I live in NYC as well I am currently awaiting to see my surgeon on the 23rd and will get a surgery date around that time. Maybe we can keep in touch.

I have attended the first office consultation, unfortunately he was in surgery, I have the second visit on 6/23 and I only need two more visits with the nutritionist. Some of the recommendations that were given to me was to try to lose some weighed 254.9 lbs at the time of the visit on 5/29. I am currently at 251. Are they looking to see if I can lose the weight on my own. If anyone has had surgery with him what has been their experience as I know that he only makes one incision. -

Thanks... I was just reading over some of the websites for the protein drinks... I think that I am going to try the unjury samples to get an idea if I like them or should I try another brand.. do you have any recommendations?
