tp yeah it really does work that way it just takes a while and a few fills before you get to that point!!! i can only eat a small amount at a time but i am a grazer not really hungry but still eat small amounts more than i should. just that is head hunger playing with my mind, but even the snacks are not near the amount i would eat before the band

ssshh!!! my husband has been telling me to take ziacam but i didn't think it worked!!!! lisa and glo how was the meeting? i didn't get off work until nearly 6:00 and by then i was coughing my head off so i didn't even remember it until after i got home

have any of you guys had a cold since you have been banded?? i have been sick with a cold for over a week and can't seem to shake it off, just wondering it i might be a little run down due to the limited calories or something like that. i was off work all last week but have to get back to work this week but i really still feel lousy.

it took me about 9 months to get to the right restriction just keep at it. get the fills!!!. i have only lost 50 lbs in 14 months but think of all i would have gained without the band in that time period. and make sure you don't have a leak i had a leak in my port after it was repaired life is much different!!

mine was repaired not replaced and the hosp. cost was 1200 the surgeon didn't charge me

hey sugar bear i need to confess something. i'm only 26lbs from my goal that i set for myself i'm sure dr h and k would not agree that it is a good goal i think my bmi will still be around 27-28 but this a goal i felt i could reach i will be below 200 for the first time since 1974 (the year i got married i think i was at 180) this goal is a tad shy of that but heck i'm an old lady so 195 sounds great to me. oh and i am 5'9" so i think i can carry that much weight and not look to fat. i should be in a size 16 or maybe 14 at that goal!!!

hey lisa i had master gardening duties to do!!!! we ended up staying at the fair till around 10:00 We listen to Terry Fator he was the one that won America's got Talent this year and he was at our little fair he had booked before he won and so the fulfilled the booking which i thought was really cool since he is going to vegas next month and both of his show are sold out. if you didn't see the show he an impressionist and a venquilist (SP) he was really goood. trying to get the yard in shape my dh doesn't spent as much time on weeding and stuff like i do and today i was finally able to get my bum knee out side to work on the flower beds. and what to i find first thing this morning a little baby snake under the elephant ears i was trying to cut down. i caught him and took him in to my husband to see what kind he was but dh wasn't sure so i took him to my brothers house and he said he thought it was not a poision snake but my mom killed him anyway. have had time to think about eating the last couple of days and haven't made to the the grocery store so i've been slime fasting today!!! my i guess i'm chatty kathy today bye for now

hey i just ran into miss skinny minnie lisa g. at the titus co. fair tonite and she is looking so good. way to go skinny minnie lisa!!!

i had shoulder pain for 3-4 months and it was explained to me that sometime the port and swelling from the surgery can bother a nerve in the diaphram causing pain to radiate to the shouldermi think the nerve is the vaga nerve. the heating pad was the best thing i found to help.

well lisa i have not shared my good news because i am not sure how long it will last but for the next little while i will not be working monday mornings i will go in at 2:00 i would really like all day monday but i had promised myself that i would continue to work on mondays until i finished paying my lap band loan off but the dr decided i would take monday morning off since he is at the hospital doing dental surgeries on littlt kids on monday morning. so YAY also today i saw 222 on the scales but i won't change the ticker until i see if it stays on 222 in case you haven't notice that is finally my 50 lbs mark!!!! really not such a big thing after all this time. it has taken me 14 months but at least 6 of those i had a leak in the port so that makes most of the weight lost in 8 months. and people are finally begin to notice a change in me, if my stupid stomach would shrink may i could see a change. the one thing i notice is i have a lot of wrinkles in the face and neck. didn't mean to write a book bye for now going to see the kids in dallas and going to a david matthews band concert at the starplex hope everyone has a losing weekend!!

oh i forgot to say my no hunger feeling has lasted since july so that is great if the head hunger would go away i dont think i would ever have to eat. i know you have to get the protein in but i really dont enjoy meal time like my fat self did.

yep lisa it is friday gotta clean house and do yard today and tomorrow going to dallas to see the kids!!!!! dont tease where's the new job??

yea i get the hiccups too sometimes they are hard to get rid of!!! alll my body parts are tire today. hey do we need to gather bond money to get lisa outta jail for abusing her 'puter some times i feel a little weird after a fill it's kinda hard to explain! so sug b did you get a fill this week i hope you are doing better with the pain issue i have tried to forget about my knee 'cause i'm just thankful not to be in your shoe!!! glo how's it going have not heard from you lately and how is lou doing is she still a loser too i haven't ran in to her at a master garden meeting in the last month or so. check with you guys later

hey all, today i was suppose to go for a fill but i cancelled due to still being pretty tight and also getting off wk to go is hard i haven't had a fill since july 9 (i think that was the day if not somewhere close to that day) i reshceduled for 11-5 hope the restriction last that long!!! i'm still losing slowly but again i do not diet just eat a LOT less than i did before another 2 lbs and i will hit 50 lbs lost!!!(but it has taken 14 months to get here) anyhow i guess the moral to this post is even problem children like me can still be losers!!!

yes after about 6 months of not having any restriction and after many difficult fills the dr decided to ck the tubing under fluro and die was injected into the tubing you could see the big leak. the fills i had had were always very difficult consisting of anywhere from 6-8 sticks each time and 2 fills under fluro. i am sure the reason for the leak was the sticks but i still had to pay to have a repair to the port where the tubing was repair and i really didn't ask for a lot of the details. they didn't have to replace the whole port. Since the repair i finally know what restriction is, but i think that the six months of not having any restriction really didn't help me because i picked up a lot of bad eating habits during that time that have been hard for me to break. i have only lost 47 lbs in 14 months and most of that came after the repair which was in march 07

ohhh sugarbear i am so sorry!!!!! hope you heal fast and the pain goes away quickly!!1

oh btw i still have more than half a bottle of the pain med and i had the surg. over a year ago so i used very little my worse pain was should pain due to gas and the heating pad was my best friend.
