i never thought i would get to post using nsv as the title but here it is!!! first off you newbies just need to be patient remember i am over 2 years out!!! i have not gone a day this week without someone, and usually more than more person, remarking on all the weight i have lost!!! finally people are noticing, up until now i could tell people could see something was different but usually they would commit on my hair or something like that, now they see it is weight not hairstyle that has change!!! YAY!!! it sure has taken a long to get here but finally they are noticing, and soon i am going shopping for size 14 blue jeans, the last time i bought anything under 18 was in 1975!!!! so i am not bragging just trying to encourage you guys, even the slow turtle has finally started to loss!!! HANG IN THERE!!!! :shades_smile:

hey glo i thought the meeting was the 2nd monday????? which would be monday???? but i never get it right. hey you and lou start listening i am about to get to onederland and when i do i am pretty sure you guys will hear the noise when i hit 199!!!!!!

sb haven't seen lisa lately, but i get an email every week or 2 from her, i think she is at the same place i was about this time last year, just really discouraged and burned out because of slow weight loss and of course really busy with tanner

paulax great job you have done!!!! nice to hear from some of lthe july "06 crew. still slow but still losing i am just 7lbs short of my goal but could stand to lose 27 more!!!

glo lisa was doing ok the last i heard from her, just busy with tanner and school and football. she is looking for a job too. i think she is a little burned out with the band and board!!! but i think we all go through that esp. when the weight is slow to come off.. but as i have said before we just hae to hang in there and keep working and the weight will go (all be it slowly but it does go) i am a testament to that. finally after 2 years my ticker is going down at a good clip!!! i am just 9 lbs short of my goal which is a goal i thought i could get to, but i need to add 20lbs to that goal. i will worry about that when i get to my first goal though!!!

hey glo i was going to go with you and lou last nite but i got my days mixed up and i was thinking the meeting was on tuesday LOL!!!! so i guess i missed that opportunity!!! are you ready to get back to school?? boy i am ready for you guys to get all the kids back to the classroom so i won't see so many in the offfice!!! i bet i cleaned a 100 kids teeth today(may not a 100 but i feel like it tonite)!!!!

due to my fills being hard to do i feel the dr poked a hole in the tubing to my band, but of course that was never the way he looked at it so as a self pay i had to have the tubing replaced as an outpt. the dr didn't charge but i had to pay the hospital charges, but i think the baddest thing was the band never worked the 1st 6 months i had it and i got very discouraged. it has taken my 2 years to loose 66-68 lbs of the 100 i need to loose. btw i never associated the pain i had with a fill and leaking salline, i was always stuck 6-10 times each fill and just thought pain was part of it all!!!! i would not and do not recomend my dr. to anyone that talks to me about weight loss surg.

lol i notice the loose skin on my hands one day when i was using one of the hand dryers and the skin was flapping in the wind and it looked like old woman hands!!!! the skion never did that when i was fatter!!!!

t4m2 i had to do sleep study and i think that was all but remember i had the surg. 2year ago)i was the surgery center's 1st) i think it all happen in less than a month from the seminar meeting!!!

hey glo did you and lou make it to the meeting lou asked me to go with you guys but i was tired and just didn't want to make the trip!!! bet you guys had a good time!!addy, about half of my fills have been under flouro and it is a piece of cake only one stick that way, my port has been a challenge for both the drs. right from the very begining, and sometimes it can be hit at the office and sometime they just can't get it in the right spot so off to the hospital we go, would not be so bad but i am self pay and 2 year out so i have to pay and hospital fills cost 2x more!!!

sbear you forget i am 2 years out and only lost 61-62 lbs so i think i get the slowest to loss ribbon LOL. and i think i am the oldest on this thread so i could have grandkids i just can't get my kids married!!!! my dd is 31 and not married which is good cause they would just bring her back to me. and my ds is engaged and will be married next spring.

hey just got back from a quick trip to joplin mo my aunt was here in texas and started home to ia and fell while in joplin and broke her hip so i took my mom to see about her before she went on to iowa. didn't stay in any box but still came back another 1lbs down YAY. no glo i have seen lou there was a mg meeting tonite but i was too tire after the drive back so i guess i missed seeing her!!!!

i bet there is never a dull moment at your house with 3 airedales. we also have a wirehair terrier that is 6 his name is kramer (because he looks like kramer on seinfield), westie (daisy) she is 4 and the queen of the house and than we added maggie and she is our clown!!!

splenda is evil!!! if i have just one sip of it i am on the pot for 2 days and the cramping is worst then the pooping!!!! evil evil stuff

hey how old is your airedale. i have one her name is maggie and she is 10 months old and is as big as a shetland pony but thinks she is a lap dog but shes is a sweetie!!!

s'bear i didn't think it was me that challengeD you to the 75 'cause i am the slow turtle!!! 7/14 will be my 2 year bandday man am i feeling old!!! right now it seems i am losing a little but it has been a long hard struggle for every pound gone!! i will be happy just to get under 200 everything else will just be icing on the cake(if i ever get below 200). i think judging by my clothes now i will be able to fit into 14 comfortably and that would be great, i didn't go into this to be a model, just didn't what to be the biggest in the room anymore.

oh yea i didn't change the old ticker cause it seems to good to be true i think i wll have to give it a test of time maybe i will change it next wk if the scales are still being nice!!!!

hey guys i hit 60 lbs today and also try on some 16 shorts that were tight a couple of wks ago and they are very comfy almost lose!!!! tp and lisa like i said you just have to hang in there on the slow times 'cause when things start moving again it is a good feeling!!! i have been on vacation this week and will be off next wk too, just hope i can keep out of the food while i am home alone. i am seldom hungry but i still crave chocolate and it goes down very easy i try not to keep it in the house but sometimes i just have to give in!!! need to work on getting my h2o in

tp if my fills are done in the office it is 150 but most of the time it has to be done a hospital (if you have read my old post i am a problem child for dr h) it is another 150-175. so i am VERY tight and have been since feb but i refuse to get an unfill being this tight is the only way i have been able to lose. i have to be very careful not to eat late in the pm because of reflux and i can eat very little but on the up side i am never hungry just in my stupid head!!!

some people have to work and go to walmart late at nite,lisa!!!! yeh glo where are you????? lisa if i could figure this friend business out i'd invite you to be my friends (i have one i don't even know) oh well someday i guess i will figure it out!!

lisa you and tp just need to chill!!! here i am at 2 years and still have only lost 60 lbs(and that is on a good day)!!!! just stop and think about where you would have been had you not had the band!!!! i could add at least 30 lbs to my start weight so the way i look at i have lost 90 lbs LOL LOL!!!! tp my whole time has been one plateau after another i go months without losing more than 2-3 lbs but at least i don't gain 4-5!!! you guys remember i am self pay so when you do the math my measley 60 lbs cost me a fortune and i am ask a lot if i would do it again and i think the honest answer is no, but it is done and i am trying to make the best of it!! i guess i went in to this really stupid because i lot loosing would be a lot easier but i got a rude awakening on that!!!! so i guess what i am preaching is hang in there you are losing on the pace that is best for your body and you are not gaining!!!!! you guys didn't ask for my opinion but i shared it anyway!!! lisa i guess this was our support meeting for the month. hahaha

hang in there lisa one day you step on the wicked on scales and have a pleasant suprise you know sometimes it takes a while for the weight lose to show up on the scales!!!!
