cool beans!!!!! way to go lisa!!! guess i am really getting old yesterday i bent over the oven to put a dish in and my back popped and now i can't walk or stand straight without it hurting so bad i can't work today but hope by nite i'll be able to go to support meeting it has improved some overnite or the pain pills and muscle relaxers have made it seem better

oh jana i forgot to answer the other ??? dr k did my fill under fluoro and injected some dye instead of the saline and on the xray you could see the dye infiltrate the tissue not stay in the tube. the procedure to fix is done under a local with drugs to make you goofy(i think kinda of like when wisdom teeth are removed)and i guess the tubing is the only thing that will be replaced. oh congrads on the upcoming wedding for your daughter i have a daughter that will be 30 this month and no one can afford her LOL

i did understand that fills were free for one year for self pay but not for ins.

i have a leak!!! i went today to get a fill under fluoro and dr.k found a leak i will have it fixed in a couple of weeks. at least now i know that i do have a problem but it can be fixed can't wait for it to get fixed so i can start losing!!!

i can totally relate!!! be sure to get it checked for leaks.. today i just fought out that i have a leak it has been 7 months since i had the band placed and i have been so discouraged reading and talking to other bandster about their big losses i just thought on great i'm failing at this too, but i think the port has been leaking the whole time be cause i have never felt any resstriction. so i am due to have the port fixed in a couple of weeks and hopefully i can get started on some big losses of my own. so my advice is check for a leak now!!!

hey fellow julyer's i'm not going to make my goal for valentine but today i found out part of my problems i have a leak in my port so i'm due to have it repaired in a couple of weeks. i have thought all was not right with my band from early on but just thought i had learned to eat around the band and that was keeping the weight from coming off, but by reading on this site and talking to people at the support meeting i decided things were just not right. so today the dr did my fill under fluoro and found a big leak. yea!!! it not just me failing again. being self pay is a big issue but the dr said they could get my ins. to pay for this operation and the dr would not have a charge just the hopital charges. so my b'day is 4-22 and my new goal is 15 lbs!!! maybe this will be a goal i can reach!!

lisa r u ok to day i have never felt sick at my stomach if i missed a meal hope you are not getting that nasty virus i have been hearing about. and yes i am still restricted YEA!!!! this is a first for me and i feel like a new bandster because i finally have had to learn to eat like a bandster i hope monday gives you some relief from hunger

yea lisa i'm still full i have to real careful or i get stuck so i guess this is my "sweet spot" my advice is be aggressive finding your sweet spot because it is very discouraging knowing you have the right tool but it is just not adjusted right can't help wondering if i know you i guess you have firgured out my name is susan hipp and i clean teeth and i'm a native mp person i can't think of any lisa that i know but maybe i'm just not thinking harder enough

jana i got a question even though i'v had the band for 6months i've never had good restriction, but i think i'm there now my question is it normal to only eat about a tablespoon of anything and then be to fulll to eat more and if you do you pb i can still drink my h2o but i can't gulp down a whole bottle with pausing for a while the way i understand as long as i drink my h2o i'm not to tight so i guess i'm asking if you think being this tight is what i have been waiting for i hope is the right way for this thing to work because i ready to start losing1!!!

:nervous ok i have to start up good now mrs betty may fussed at me and told be to get in the box but it has not worked for me , i think it is because i haven't had any restriction but dr kalein worked hard on filling me up yesterday and i think maybe it is going to be tighter now. my goals are 10 lbs by the time i see drk again on 3/5 that will be 242 20 lbs by my b'day 4/22 232 32 lbs by jine 1 that will be 220 and that is the least i've weight since that metabollic diet and i like to be at 190 by 7-14-07 my one year bandaversity

ready2bthin i thought i had read about port pain but i guess i had not researched enough and it does sound like port pain months later is not that uncommon thanks for your response susan

i have a question do any of you have a pain on the port side that is almost always there sometimes more noticable the best way to describe it is remember the pain you get it your side when you run kinda of a catch it not something that stops you from doing anything you want but it is always there i thought after i healed it would go away but it hasn't and today it is much worse than usual but still not a spot what your doing kinda of pain. hope this is making sense and that is why i never ask about this because it a vague hard to describe pain. i guess i am just trying to find someone that can relate to this

fills arent too bad and i'm one of the ones that its very have to get the saline injected in the port is easy to find but finding the right angle to injedt the saline is hard so my fill take 2-3 sticks and then some pushing and shoving around once the needle is in but it really doesnt hurt so be brave they aren't bad
