Hello, My sons dimple never went away - and this injury occurred about 14-15 years ago. It was permanent and never got bigger nor smaller, just stayed the same as he grew. The hematoma went away but the dimple remains in its place. It looks like a normal dimple (lucky placement, lol) with the only unusual feature being that it is only on one cheek instead of 2. However, it is cute and is as much a part of his features now as his hair or eyes or nose. :0)

I came across your story about your son's dimple and it was so close to home..
My 3 year old ran into a table and hurt her cheek, it was a swelling then a huge bruise, then a hematoma and she has a dimple although the hematoma is getting smaller. It has been 6 months and everyone says it will go away, so did your son's dimple go away?
