Yep, you need a fill. No worries this is a common thing. When you reach restriction you will know it, without doubts and without hesitation. Thats when you know why there are band eating rules becuse without following the chewing, little bites and such you wont make it thru a meal. I had 3 fills close together within a 5 week period with floro before I got it and I love it!! I went aggessive so that may not be your wish. I continued to diet even without restriction, But when you reach restriction you will know. And your amount for fills will only be right for you everyone has to find the right amount for there comfort. I have to smallest band 4cc and I'm filled to 3.4 and very comfortable. I eat about a cup and a half of food twice a day and fluids only before noon. Hope this helps. Keep on please dont get discouraged, you can find your way. best wishes. Yep, yep, I too have forgotten about the band and drank to fast or ate to fast and its a quick reminder. I never, never assume that becuse I ate somthing today that I can eat it again tommorrow every meal, every drink is its own story. I am tighter then some folks would be comfortable with but I love it and I respect the limitations I also love that the limitations are physical. And since no two days, Heck no two hours are the same tolerance I get to be a investigator of my own body and my own needs. Some times I do go for the higher calorie food becuse I can eat the recomended portion size. And be full and stay within my alotted calorie intake for the day. Hello, a fill should be one poke into the port and vavoom your done. At least it is with floro. I have a scary story on my first attempt at a fill, but understand my port can not be felt through the skin yet, to much fat I guess. I allowed a fill center to polk me 4 times to the area that they thought the port should be then I worried myself sick for two weeks that the tubing could have been damaged, it wasent but I never want to worrie like that again. Filling since has been a breeze, Ive had three now to reach good restriction. Good luck, vickie

Hi, the fill center I go to says this is normal for the first fill. Its somthing like priming the pump. This same thing happened to me but at the second fill it was all there. I have read about many people having this happen also. Probably nothing o worrie about. Good luck, vickie

Hi, I Am Filled To 3.4 In A 4cc Band It Took 3 Fills In Three Months To Get Here And I Coulent Be Happer If It Was Christmas Everyday. I Beleve The Use Of Floro Allows More Aggressive Fills If Thats Your Choice Otherwise Its A Crap Shoot. I Get To See The Band And The Restriction Before I Leave The Office. Wow You've Done Well At Weight Loss Before A Fill, Good For You. All I Can Say About Fills Is This ( Get Er Done) As Long As The Filler Is Qualified To To The Deed. Most Fill Centers Are Done By Nurses Or Practioners. These Folks Can Give You All The Support Needed As Can A Local Support Group. My Fills Require Xray So I Pay 350 Each Untill My Port Gets Easier To Find. So Free Sounds Pretty Good. I've Had Three Fill In 3 Months. Banded In May 06. All Fills By Nurses, I Am Extreamly Happy With The Restriction And Results Now. I Thought I Was Practicing Band Rules Until I Had My Third Fill Now I Really Use The Rules Of Chewing And Sipping Becuse If I Dont The Result Is Ugly!!!! I have also gone to Dr Neils staff in Olympia for 2 fills and liked them alot. I can not fill my port so floro is the only way to get to it right now. I was filled 2cc a week ago thursday it cost 350. and by Monday I knew it wasent enough so they saw me again this thursday for 150 dollars. I am now filled at 2.5.5 the use of floro is nice becuse they can be more aggesive at 3cc the stoma was completly closed so the backed it down until the Fluid trickled thru. Ive read some folks can feel the prossess but Im not one of them unless the fluid is ice cold. If you have a good feel for the port theres a fill center in Arlington Washington for 150 bucks called the weight managment center really nice folks (no floro) If your intersested I can dig up the number for you.
