HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for the last 2 weeks my weight has gone up and down 5 lbs. and im not sure why......i've worked out more than ever, walking for 2 hours at a time plus up and down bleachers and light weights..my food intake is a little more but not much and now i feel very little restriction..my fill app.in on july 1st and i cant wait, really i tried to change it yesterday but doc is on vacation..i know i'll get through this. i was doing so well and now it has stopped and i'm scared to fail.....so i come here to read for incouragement. anyways just a speedbump,,here we go.

Hey guys , a little comment and update. first i want to say thanks to everyone that post because from time to time i come here to read and get motivated when i fell like im in a rut and its good to know that im not alone in this journey..i know we are all busy but when you have time just drop a line or two because your helping others more than you know. now for a update.....2 months from surgery and down 54 pounds and 21 inches according to the dr. im feeling great and learning somthing new every day. running out of clothes so i guess i have to go shopping and i hate shopping but i have no idea what size jeans ..so we'll see what happens...anyway thats 74 lbs total. good luck to all and keep working at it i know i am...i'm about 1/2 way there..

well i gave away a few of my favorite shirts today 1st one said " Nothing sweeter than a fat mans peter" and " i beat anorexia" time to find a little smaller shirts i guess...oh well i wasnt aloud to ever wear them anyway..lol

update time.......................................... got my first fill yesterday and all went smooth...doc wanted to put 4cc in and at 3cc my band was to tight according to the xray..so i ended up with only 2cc..which is cool with me because i feel great now. and i walked 5 miles this morning and could due more easy...confidence is high i repeat confidence is high.....i just hope i can keep this feeling.. oh yeah as far as weight goes .......my short term goal was to be from 410 to 350 by may 12th and i was at 352 yesterday so i'm there...now july 6th to be at 320 and just keep on rolling... good luck to all and keep us updated good and bad we can help each other.............

great news greg....i missed my 2nd appointment and my first fill yesterday because of severe whether and working out of town so now we're going next wednesday for my first fill...i have allways felt alot of restriction so i'm pretty happy right now but will see what doc has to say....i'm still on liquid diet but i've tried a couple of thing that went great small but it is so good to chew lol what do yall think about sunflower seeds ?good bad............its seems to give me something to do.......i am soupped out .... spirit hows the fill feeling????hope all is well with the rest of yall need an update from coach and the bigbossman how are you guys holding up? well take it any way you can get it boy...and cinch up your shorts , it looks like there going to fall off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

way to get after it coachramz.......i'm in san antonio and the heat is coming on fast and i cant wait to loose more weight for this summer, wait, i mean forever...lol i bought a new belt a week before surgery and was on the last hole and now i'm on the first hole and next week i'm going to nail it haha walking everyday seems to be helping im sore as hell and slow to start , but once i get going i'm good.... how about everyone else i hope eneryone is healthy and happy.....take care

2 WEEK UPDATE::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: alright guy here's the scoop........highest weight 410lbs day of surgery was 388 lbs, and as of today's Dr. Appt. i weighed in at 365 lbs.....45 pounds down total and 23 lbs since surgury that was on march 31st....i'm feeling great and will start my Vitamins tommorrow..still on a liquid diet for at least 2 more weeks and will get my first fill on april 29th.... walking at least 30 min a day and just got back from a 3 mile walk with the kids....... i live out in the country on 12 acres and i started walking alone and then one of my dogs started coming along and then my oldest child and then another and another and now my wife i felt like forest gump lol soon all my neighbors will come haha anyways i hope all is well with yall and keep heading for the goal.....here we go!

hello everyone, march 31st i was banded and had a few rough days but everyday gets better ..only 12 days out right now but i'm very happy and feel great. food just isnt that important anymore and i'm glad and i hope i can keep this mental state..lol i'm not sure of my progress just how i feel..no scale at the house ( on purpose) i'll just wait till my doctor visit on the 15th of april to see what the evil scale has to say and i'll be sure to let yall know...i've been on liquid diet since surgery and the first 5 days i could hardly swollow Water, but like i said it gets better.. i am very open about what i am going through with anyone who wants to know. i think its important to not hide it. i hope to inspire others to turn their life around as well....and i know that sounds a little deep or maybe b/s lol but i had a problem and now i am 12 days sober from my addiction. i'm not going to preach to anyone but if they ask then watch out.... good luck to everyone and i hope all is well....here we go

Band of Brothers, i just wanted to stop by and say hi for the first time. I have read so many of your post and wanted to say how very helpful they truly are. i hope if i share mine it may help some one else. MY STORY...... I'm 36 years old married with three great kids, and have been the big guy my whole life...6' 4" and my largest weigh in was 410 lbs. Like everyone else ive done diets and have been up and down the scale. On march 31 2009 i was banded in San Antonio. weight was 388lbs. surgery went well and quickly.. 08:00 i was rolled in and 11:30 i was enroute to the house. At about 6p.m. i tried chicken broth and thats when it went down hill..I got hiccups and that slimming crap for the next 5 hours, and ended up back in the hospital for the next three days. swelling and not the good kind. swelling at the band would not let water through. so 3 days of steriods ans iv... but thats all behind me now and every day is better and yes i would do it a 1000 times over.....this is my new life and iihave a great support group of family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers...... i'm learning that i have to listen to my band and ignore my stomach.. i'm on light liquids diet and it suxs but i try to remember that in my first life i started i was on a liquid diet then too(breast milk) boy those were the days...... so this is my do over, born again, the new me...educated on the affects of bad judgement in my past life. Scales ......i havent weighed yet.. i go back to the Doc on the 15th and i'll weight there and i will post the results. so good luck to everyone and keep your eyes on the prize...
