I am 42 years old. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. In April of 2009 I chose to have the lap band. The band served it's purpose- I lost 100 lbs and about 89 inches all over; however due to my auto immune problems I am chose to have it removed and revised into a sleeve.

I am married to a wonderful man who supports me whole heartedly. He loves me no matter what- When I met him I was MUCH heavier than I was before the lap band and we still managed to make it work . His family and my adoptive family and friends give me strength and support as well.

I look forward to this next chapter and learning from all of those before me who are now on this board.
