    Vitamin Help!

Thank you all so much for your input, I going to go to the pharmacy today and see what they have! Missy:thumbup:
  4. I am 4 weeks post op and i am currently trying to take the Bariatric Fusion vitamins chewable. I absolutely cant stand the taste (I take 3 throughout the day) and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions about the vitamins they take.
  5. I have the same problem. It just started today 5 days post op. I don't feel good at all. I also stopped taking my pain meds. I am going to go back on tonight when i get ready for bed. I have my first appt with my doctor on wednesday so I was going to talk to them to see whats up. I am on a nexium generic but i'm not sure if its working or if its something else.
  6. I got banded 5 days ago also and i feel awful today. No appetite really and my stomach is really upset. I feel like throwing up. I don't know if i have heartburn or if there is a real problem.
  7. I am 5 days post op doing pretty well. I woke up this morning and my incision on the side of my abdomen was itchy. When i pulled up the bandage back a little it was pink under the tape. Is this normal or should i call the doctor? I usually heal really well and dont think i've had an infection in a cut since childhood so i don't know what i'm looking at. Any thoughts??

    2 days post op

I was banded on May 19th. I had a hernia repair and i am at a point where my incisions are itchy. The gas is so irritating i didn;t know it would be like this. I can't wait to get thru this stage. I can't believe you guys are back working to quickly, I could never do that. I would never heal because of the stress.
  9. Don't worry, just keep doing what your doctor tells you to do. I would go get gasx though. I was banded yesterday morning at 745 am and today i feel a tiny bit better but gas pain started this evening in my neck and shoulder. it just started as noises from my abdomen but now im sure its gas. my doctor said that you usually feel in you neck or shoulder first. as far as your diet just follow what they told you to do and if you really don't feel comfortable call their office and leave a message. I am barely eating anything right now (broth, jello, popsciles) no protein until the weekend when i can switch to yogurt and protein shakes. They keep you on these easy strict diets in the beginning so that your band doesnt slip further down the stomach. Good Luck!!!
  10. i did get gasx a couple of weeks ago becasue i read so much about it thru these posts. An hour ago my neck and shoulder started to ache so i took some. Hopefully in a couple of days it will go away. my incisions don't really hurt at all except where i think the port went. It hurts like hell only in one spot on my abdomen. Thanks for the info and support!!
  11. Had my surgery yesterday im a liitle sore today but doing well. I had a hernia and it was repaired. I am so glad this leg of the journey is done!
  12. Lose what your doctors advise. I had to lose 26 lbs in 6 weeks for my 10% she set at the initial doctor visit. Tomorrow is my surgery and i will have lost 26 but it obviously took the entire six weeks. Don't beat yourself up and try really hard not to cheat it will only jeopardize your surgery date. Good luck!
  13. My date is tomorrow the 19th!! I can't wait. I am on the pre-op diet and havent eaten in three days. The protein shakes actually look really good right now!! Good luck everyone.
  14. I have my surgery on tuesday, anyone else that day? I am nervous but excited. I can't wait til this pre-op prep is over! Its driving me crazy.
  15. I have my surgery on Tuesday and only my immediate family knows. None of my friends or coworkers know. You are definitely not alone. but if you're friends aren't supportive they're not your friends. the situation might get worse after surgery, once you've lost weight and feel better about yourself. I would only hope though that once they've seen you after surgery and the lengths you went thru to get it they would understand and see it as the most positive and selfish thing you could do for yourself.
