Hope your surgery went ok, let us hear how you are doing. :clap2:

No, I didn't stay in the hospital, really no need. I felt great and was really surprised that it didn't take very long. I have to give all the credit to a great doctor that knows his stuff and does it well. :clap2: :clap2:

My surgery was great too! Went into surgery at 8:30 am and walking out the door 11:30 am to go home, after I got home went across the street and visited my neighbor. I took 3 days off from work, Wed., Thurs. and Friday. Went back to work on Monday and never any problems, no one ever knew anything. I am finally feeling restriction after my fill yesterday, and that is what I have been waiting for. Three weeks ago, I put in a new kitchen floor, all by myself and did a great job if I do say so myself!!! These boards are great and I have learned a lot from them and learn more every day. Have a good day! :clap2: :clap2:

I went yesterday for my 4th fill and I am finally feeling the restriction. I have a small 4cc band and now have 1.9cc fill. :kiss2: Thanks

I was banded on May 24, 2006, 1st fill of .4cc, 2nd fill .6cc and went for my 3rd fill Monday for a .7cc fill, making a total of 1.7cc in my 4cc band. I am finally feeling restriction and learning how to eat with the new fill. The previous fills did no good for me and I could eat it all, but like you said, I tried to hold the amount down. I am hoping with the new restriction that the scale will start going down. I had the hiccup experience last night for the first time and read about the hiccups today on the boards. You sure get good information here on the boards. Yep, August already, can you believe? :omg: Christmas will be here before you know it. Patsy

I was banded 5/24/2006 and first fill of .6cc on 6/27/2006 and didn't fill any restriction. Had 2nd fill on 7/12/2006 of .6cc making a total of 1cc, I still don't fill any restriction. I can eat WAY more than a cup with no problem, but I am hungry ALL the time. Why? Is there a reason for this? I am going to schedule another fill soon because this just isn't right. Why should I be hungry all the time, my stomach just growls, and I drink lots of water, so it's not that. Thanks for your help.

It looks like a lot of us on this post got banded pretty close to each other. I am going thru the hunger thing too and eating whatever I want with no restriction and I have had a .4cc fill and a .6cc fill, but a 1cc fill in a 4cc band is not enough restriction for me. I have an appointment on 7/31/06 for another fill and like everyone says on the board, have patience. I'm trying to be too, but anxious to start losing the weight. I am curious to know the secrets of some of the people that are really losing the weight since being banded. I drink the water and eat lots of protein and the remax protein drink from the doctor's office, vegies and some fruit. Good Luck!!!!

Stitchy, I wish they would be more aggressive with my fills. I have an appointment for my 3rd fill on 7/31/2006 and so far I only have 1 cc in my 4 cc band. Your stats are great, you are doing wonderful. Do you have any secrets of weight loss to share? Thanks for your posting, have a great day.

Monica, I too have a 4 cc band and I'm thinking the same as you, I just haven't reached the right fill level yet. Thanks! I'm going for another fill on 7/31/06, this time I will suggest that they put a whole 1 cc in there and see how that works and that would make 2 cc's in a 4 cc band. Have a great day and thanks again!

Thank you all for your input to my question. I am going to schedule another fill and discuss some of the things that you suggested. Have a great day and thanks again. Patsy :kiss2:

HELP Financing Suggestions/I'm about to give up
Patsy G replied to jjolive's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was in the same boat, couldn't get a loan even from Capital One, I had a stack of rejections that would gag a horse. I paid that agency advertised on tv $99 to give me some lenders to apply with, I did and one of the lenders did come thru. That was a well spent $99. The lender was in Terrell Texas, American General Finance Company. -
Frustrated and TICKED Off!!! - Question about Scales
Patsy G replied to Yoda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had one of those digital scales too, same problem, you could get on them 3 different times and get 3 different readings. I now have a doctors scale and love it, accurate as you can get to the exact ounce. Good luck!!! -
I'm 5'7" and would like to be back down in a size 10 for the rest of my life. Have a great day.

Hello everyone, I started my liquid 2 week prior to surgery diet on 5/10/2006 at 249, by surgery 5/24/2006 I had lost 6 pounds at 243. Right now I'm at 234 and can't wait to get my first fill. My doctor is Richard Benavides, awesome doctor and staff, and had my surgery at the Surgery Center of Richardson. The best medical people I have ever had an experience to be around. Went in for surgery at 8:30 am and was leaving at 10:30 going home. Never a complication at any time. Glad to be here on the boards and get the best information from people that have been there.
