Omg I am so sick of this! Plz help
HappyHomeCC replied to babyk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sip your liquids slowly... also if you are stressed out the band may feel tighter. I have experienced this. wicked. Try to relax and rest. If you have like the stitch in your side like when you run feeling you know what I mean... then you are too full . take it easy be patient with yourself and the band. once the swelling subsides you will be fine HOWEVER having the dry heaves etc will inflame it again so take it easy ok. -
Band as second choice?
HappyHomeCC replied to Dave_NW's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I chose the band over the others because it is adjustable and reversable... the other surgeries are not. seems as though the other complications are more serious. We are all different so why not have something that can be customized to your needs and lifestyle changes? We are always evolving, and we don't all have the one size fits all body.. for me the flexibility of the band and not permantly altering the plumbing were a big sale for me. It has been a year and I am so pleased with my choices, not only with my band but with my surgical team. good luck in what you choose. -
So emotional today
HappyHomeCC replied to Melissa4773's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hang in there Melissa, Emotional times after being banded is a normal reaction. Not only for banding but any surgery. You are also mourning the loss of food, your own comfort and your old habits. it is a big change, lifestyle , emotional etc. Hang in there and weather the storm. Just like any addiction there is a withdrawal period etc. You will be fine, there are many great peeps out here to encourage you, advise you and be a shoulder to lean on. I was banded almost a year ago, It has been quite a journey. Keep a journal of your food, and your emotions and how you feel daily. learn about yourself and learn new ways to conduct your daily life. You may have to make some new friends that will encourage you and stand for you during your journey. I have ZERO regrets taking this huge step, anyone who has been a skeptic of my choice now admires me since I am living the life I want doing what I have passion for. Never would I have persued my dream if not for losing this weight. {{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}}} -
when they want to play it is with the bad girls that are easy... they want to settle down and be serious with the good girls.

November 09 Knockouts! Check in here POST surgery! :)
HappyHomeCC replied to PrincipalsOffice's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wow I can't believe we are just shy of a year already. It is amazing and what an incredible journey. I still have 20 - 25 more to lose. I am fairly comfortable where I am and I do see I have gained muscle so that is a good thing. need to work out a bit to get rid of the rest. so I may not meet a numbers goal but I will be healthy and fit. Dr office is calling me a success story and I have changed so much in my life. I would say a lot of healing has happened in the last year, and I do not regret making this choice at all. I am pleased with the results and myself! ha ha I should update my photo! -
What to do about clothes...
HappyHomeCC replied to Twinkles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have made it a habit of purging the closet on a regular basis.. throwing away or donating. I buy inexpensive clothing now as things change rapidly... oh and a good belt for my jeans -

How often do you vomit/PB?
HappyHomeCC replied to mandi78's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Ok an addendum to any other post on this thread.... I Only PB or vomit when I am stressed. Occasionally I eat too quickly when I am extra hungry and it will happen too, howevr that is extremely rare. I have only 5.75 cc in my band. It appears that I only have problems in the evening... dinner.... only when DH is home... day time I wait for him to leave for work before I eat Breakfast and all is well. I am on the eve of this relationship and I have come to the realization that this is just another thing it is doing to me. That and I am at a standstill. I think once I break away I will lose that last 20 perhaps more. I am trying to finish my schooling first... Feb 11 since I am not working. It gets increasing more difficult to hang on. I do know it is in my best interest to do that though. -
Pain on my leftside right below rib cage.
HappyHomeCC replied to aromer55's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel like when that happens it is the port and the stitching into my muscles because it is sewn there under the muscle... however last night I had a sharp pain cuz I did over eat.
