I know it is a pain but I had problems too and I have changed too BEFORE surgery. Most Surgeons don't want to deal with anothers handy work. I am very happy with the offices I chose the second time around.... yes it has delayed me a bit but this is a life long relationship. Think hard about it and your future needs. It is not just a few month commitment.

Thank You !!! And why is my gas over $3 a gallon NOW. I agree... we should have been investing in alternate sources of energy vs a war that has messed up so many young soldiers and their families and our financial future..... STUPID DECISIONS THAT HAVE COST OUR NATION DEARLY. I expect to see many more vets of a much younger generation on our So Cal streets begging..... this is how we thank our military for their service. So where are the WMD.... bunch of BS And do ya'll realize WE the USA are not the ones who found Sadaam hiding in the hole... it was set up to make us look like the heros. LOL
-
I can't believe it ... Patty are you joking.... LOL I always said part of this attack is about the oil.... but then again I am with the thought that Sadaam Lynching was all about Papa Bush and Jr wanting to prevent Sadaam from talking about Papa Bush in the up coming trials... I believe Bush and his cronies should be subjected to the international court and be tried for war crimes, then if found guilty they can be executed . Maybe Bush will be foolish enough to take a vacation outside the country so some country can scoop him up and bring him to justice. Think about inmates in our country on death row... how many years of appeals etc.... come on and at an important Islamic holiday time... talk about creating more unrest so we have reasons to fire our weapons..... with this war we are not safer we have created more terrorists!

I have had the Mirena for 2 yrs, I did not notice any problems with weight with it. I use it for BC. I tried the patch like 5 yrs ago ... that was a disaster ... EVIL patch, I felt so disconnected and I just didn't have any feelings for anyone not even my kids... that was horrid. took me 4 months to figure it out. Mirena so far so good.

Struggling today...need some support
HappyHomeCC replied to juliansmom2003's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know it is hard waiting, it is driving me nuts too. I started all this in early May. I have been using this time to modify subtle things in my behaviors , eating habits etc. I have lost 15 lb from that. I have been educating myself more and more about nutrition etc. So be patient, we have to be, the more prep we do the more successful I believe we can be and dedicated with the right information and support. We are making a huge lifetime commitment here.... longer than most marriages LOL right? That kind of puts it into perspective doesn't it? Hang in there. -
I stayed in Broken Arrow for a week as a kid and went horse back riding and went to the church of Christ there Lyle M was the preacher at the time a friend of our family. They had a one room school house there at the time population was only a few hundred

Pill crushing - Ideas needed for taste
HappyHomeCC replied to hmarko's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
how about mixing each crushed pill in a spoonful of yogurt? -
I watched the show today, over the seasons I have caught a show or 2 perhaps, but to tell you the truth I didn't ever get into watching it. It made me squirm. so unhappy and uncomfortable with myself didn't want it in my face , now I must say I am inspired by watching it and will stick with it this season.

8 days left and rethinking procedure
HappyHomeCC replied to momamia's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
HA HA easy way out... I think not. When I explained to someone that told me that all that we have to do to be successful, she, overweight herself was like Damn.... I can't follow that... I said so where is the easy way out??? Oh maybe it is in the if you over eat you will vomit or your band could slip or you may get something stuck...LOL so I guess she got an education. I think this is tougher,,,, more accountablity not only to the dr but to the band! -
DR HORGAN AT UCSD AWESOME! I highly recommend him and his team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE THEM!

Tired of People Saying: "You Really Don't Look Lika You Need That!!"
HappyHomeCC replied to ncarreras's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
people always look at me and when I say how much I weigh etc they are "shocked" I am same ht wt bmi as you almost. yet when I see photos or video of myself I am sick..... I am very happy at 130 so I want to be there. I feel good , look good and can wear the clothes i want. better body image. I am trying to advoid any further health issues, now I am hypo thyroid, and have joint problems. -
I think they would do it for her... but over the time we have been talking about it she is not willing to make changes and doesn't know how I can do it.... she supports me but doesn't think it is possible for her ;o( makes me really sad, I love her dearly and I am afraid she will meet an early demise. I hope she will change her viewpoint. perhaps after I have surgery and she sees how it goes with me. Her husband works for Kaiser in one of the offices. He is in great health.
-
I have a dear friend that is 61 and Kaiser insurance. She is in need of losing a lot of weight . She has had hip replacement surgery, has apnea, asthma, gosh, just too many things. I told her I was going to have a lapband put in, she thinks that because I am 42 of course I get approved for mine but for herself she thinks they may deem her too old. Anyone here deal with Kaiser in their 60s? thanks

mmmm parrothead... I LOVE SALADS LIKE THAT.... throw in some kidneybeans and or garbanzos too!
-
I agree.... OMG with Patty.(is this the 2nd time???).... It is good to debate and bring stuff up so that we can learn and understand other points of view... sometimes you view may change<gasp> or become more strongly rooted during debate, it challenges all of us to grow and look for information and truth.:tongue2:

Protein Shakes without Artificial Sweeteners
HappyHomeCC replied to Veronda's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been drinking Isopure Natural, little higher on the calories than the zero carb. I mix it with decaf coffee and make Mochas with it and vanilla lattes LOL love it. -
you may join another party Patty but your core believes will not change. so it won't make any difference really. For anyone that has owned a business, (I have had a few) the phrase "It takes money to make money" I can tell you countless dollars spent on advertising thousands actually.... it is long term thinking. you have to spend it to have exposure on your business to attract customers. well with the nation the mess that it is in it is going to take a hell of a lot of money to get things rolling, it is long term thinking. It is not Obamas fault Bush went into 2 countries, that he threw money at Israel, that he borrowed from China, etc. so ya know have to agree with the opinion that it is more about the man than the money, .

Changine surgeons
HappyHomeCC replied to pickles123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pickles when you have the right staff working for your health it won't be so stressful. I also started counseling a few months ago when I embarked on this journey, it has been helpful... hang in there.
