I am post op day 3, and i really dont have any gas pains. i had bad gas pains right after surgery for a few hours, but after that it was just muscle and incision pain. My pain today is probably about a 4 and I'm only taking tylenol. Getting in and out of bed was really hard the first 2 nights but it was doable. I do still have some gas but it isn't painful. Good luck! It gets better everyday!

Good to hear. I've lost 7 of them so far.

I feel fine if I'm not moving, but getting up and down is really painful. Will it feel better in a few days?

I hope he left a band in me!!! lol

I think the growling is gas, not hunger. My stomach sounds like a motorcycle! Lol

I came home 15 pounds heavier!

I'm finally getting to leave the hospital in about an hour. Just wanted to mention that I have had NO signs of hunger. Pretty cool. And walking really is best for the pain, even if its just a 2 minute walk. The rest of you going this month will do great! I am so thankful that its been a breeze so far.

Hi guys! I'm doing great! No pain. Although the gas pain was really bad when I first woke up. I got up and walked a couple times and that did the trick. Just wanted to update you!

With the exception of day 2, I did fine. I wouldn't call it enjoyable but it was deffinitly doable. It will go by fast. Tommorrow is my last day!

It's getting close and I'm getting cold feet. Having doubts. I've wanted this for 5 years and now its here. Kind of scary! Tell me how much you love your band so I know it will be worth it!

Yes. my surgery is on Wednesday. He has a great team, but also has a $1500 program fee that I didn't know about until a couple days ago. They are worth it though.

I have my consult with him next week, but haven't seen him mentioned here at all.

So I go to the hospital today for pre registraition. They gave me the # to call the anesthesia company to make sure my insurance covers them, and they don't!!! Wtf didn't they have all this figured out already??? I'm guess it would cost thousands out of pocket. So I. Called the surgeons office and told them I need an anesthesiologist that is covered by tricare. So stupid. If they can't do it, I guess ill have to cancel surgery. Oh and to top it off I had to pay my program fee which turned out to be $1500! They are worth every penny, but holy cow!

I've been reading a lot of posts latley about how people can still eat as much as they used to . Is that the norm? If this is the case, how does YOUR band help you lose weight? Its making me nervous that I will feel no change after surgery, and it will be all for not. I'm prepared to do the hard work. I know its "just a tool." But if a screwdriver didn't screw, I wouldn't use it. Does the band really help or is it a "sugar pill?"

I guess I'll find out Monday. Sucks. My husband is a Marine, we don't have hundreds of extra dollars laying around.

It's scary once surgery gets close! Losing weight is easy. Keeping it off is not. Which is why I am getting the band, to help me maintain. Great job on the 50 pounds!!!

Has anyone else had to pay out of pocket for their anesthesiologist? They are having a meeting about it on Monday. Weird.
