I had a very little fill yesterday .2 ccs. I thought I was already at 6 ccs, but the doctor said I was actually at 5.8. so now I am at 6. I am doing soft foods for today just to be safe. I lost 3.5 lbs in the past 2 weeks. I am now down 30 lbs!!!!! I have noticed that I am pretty tight in the morning and can not really eat anything solid. I started eating a few bites of yogurt when I wake up just to have food in the pouch and jump start my metabolism. Night eating is still the hardest part of my day. I get bored or something and want to munch. Any helpful ideas????? I do sugar free popsicles already. All in all I am really happy and pleased with the weight loss and the progress. My clothes fit better and my joints feel much better. I know I still have a long way to go, but I am on the right track at least and making head way. Oh and I have never had blood preasure issues, but when they took it yesterday it was 117/78. She said that was ideal!!!!! How cool. :smile2:

So I am going to get a very little fill in 1 week from today. I am able to eat just a little too much. I am still lossing a little weight, but really slow. For lunch I had a 1/2 of a chicken skinless boneless thigh and a little bit of brocoli and a laughing cow cheese triangle. That filled me up and I am satisfied, but I did not have any restriction. I just got full. Is that right? I guess I am waiting for that tight restriction feeling before I stop eating. Am I doing this wrong?????:confused3:

On Friday I went to the doctor to get a little taken out of my band. She took out .3 ccs so now I am right at 6 ccs. I feel so much better now. I had thrown up food 3 times in 3 weeks and at most of my meals I would get the tight chest feelings. For a while I just thought that is how I was supposed to feel during a meal, but the vomitting did it for me. Had to get some taken out... I may go back in a few weeks to get a little bit put back in, but will wait to see how the weight loss goes first. I am getting full on about a cup of food and happy with that for several hours. Everything else is going great. I did not join the gym yet though... watching my pennies...

Until I got to my 4th or 5th fill I could eat almost anything... I was really frustrated until then. I eat skinless boneless chicken thighs from the grocery store a lot. They are a bit more moist than the breast and taste so much better. I can only eat a half of one now, but I used to be able to eat almost 2 of them. Also try bagged frozen veggies. Cook them really well so they are soft. I am not a big cook so I try to find easy fast things to make at home. Try very hard not to eat out at all. Keep up the great work and you will do great!!!!

It has been 2 weeks since my last fill. I am really having a hard time eating, but am getting in small meals so I think it might be okay. I had mexican last night and it made me vomit. I just ate some chips and queso and a half of an enchilada. I was in the bathroom within minutes of finishing. It was a very bad food choice and I will not do that again. I am still learning to eat with the band and small meals. For the first 3 months of the band I did not really have any restrictions and I could eat anything. Now that I am close or at my sweet spot I really have to watch what I eat. So that is good because my weight is starting to come off a little at a time. I am joining the gym next week. I have to pay for the year up front to get the good deal, so I am saving up a few weeks before joining. I was on a free trial for a while, but that has run out. I miss going and noticed that I am not sleeping as well as I was when I was working out... oh well. I will join soon. It is 100 degrees F in Houston today!!!!!!!!!!!!!:crying: HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:target: Wish I was at the pool today! Anyway I hope everyone is doing okay and I would love to hear from you... keep up the great work everyone!!!!!

Vomiting I'm scared
luceparis replied to luceparis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks, Gus-Gus and Lotzasunshine!!!!! I was really worried last night but after hearing from you both I feel a bit better. I guess my eyes are still bigger than my stomach and am learning how to eat with the band. It is weird because the first 3 months after surgery I could eat anything and now that I am at 6.3 ccs I am finding it harder to eat. Thanks again!!!!:smile2: -
Okay so first I know that I ate the wrong food for my band. I had a weak moment and ate some Mexican food. I had chips and queso with 1/2 of an enchilada. I got up and went to the bathroom with in 2 minutes of finishing. I had a very small sip of Water before I left too. I actually vomited - not just saliiva, real throw up. I know this is sick and I am sorry. But now I am worried that my band might slip or something. My last fill was 2 weeks ago and I get tight chest feelings after every meal. All my other meals are very healthy and extremely small. I have a 10 cc band and I am at 6.5 ccs with 5 fills. I would love some advice. Am I too filled????? :blushing:   I am losing about 2 lbs a week too.

no fills until Sept??? did they put any in the band when you had your surgery? also are you losing 2 lbs a week? If yes, then no fill is needed. Working out really helps. i just started working out and it really gets you motivated to eat right and keep up the great work.

Need advice for the office! Restriction--what is it?
luceparis commented on BioTeacher's blog entry in Blog 48905
I would totally get a new doctor!!!!! They do not sound like they are really interested in hearing from you as a patient. You might even check out the doctor on Vitals.com see if they have been reported by other patients. I wish you were in Houston - I would tell you to go to my doctor. He is the best - Dr Garth Davis at The Davis Clinic. You need a team that really cares about you and will look into the no restriction. Hang in there!!!! You are doing great with 35 pounds lost!!!
