Angie, We share the same band month. I was banded 3-25-09 and have been watching for who else was celebrating this month. Your story is great and one I can relate to. I have also had great success with the band this past year and I am looking forward to continued weight loss. I am happy I made the decision to get the band. It is changing my life. I recently had the same test and was able to review on a TV screen my results with the doctor. I asked her why my esophagus looked so big in one area. She said that was normal. That is the way it looks as the chalky white stuff travels down. Scared me too until I heard the explanation.

198 pounds June 2009 One year post op... I'd gone from a size 24 down to a 16.. these jeans were an 18 which I'd bought only two weeks before.. and needed new size 16 ones

I browsed the site before having my lap band done...to be honest I was discouraged that I found no one as large as me...it made me nervous...so despite the cringing face I am making...lol...I was 407 in the first picture..253 in the last its been 8 months
