Hello!! OMG... I got banded yestrday, june 12th and I too had to staay overnight... But I feel much better today.. still in a lot of pain but i will survive ... Very comfortable with the liquids.. mostly water and broth... but i feel absolutely no hunger at this point.... Take care and good luck! Keep in touch if you wish,... Angie

Hello Diane! I am a patient of Dr. Leclerc. My operation is scheduled for june 12 2009. My first appointment with Dr.Leclerc was Feb 3rd 2009. At that time, he had asked me to lose around 10 pounds as a show of motivation and readines for the lapband. Until last week the cost of the operation through the public system was payment for the band only (5000$). This said, I need to call and confirm today because I heard last week that gov t was now covering cost of the band as well!!! Great news for me because it was not covered by my insurance benefits i have with my employment. I wish you all the best of luck in this new endeavor!
