Thats what i'm talkin bout! You go girl! I was just banded on 4/10/09, and I hope to achieve similar results. I was 243 day of surgery, and i'm 241 a week later. I am not pleased. But, everyone is different and I havent been walking much yet cuz i'm still feeling kinda tender. The meds help, but make me drowsy. Good luck, and dont listen to haters! I want to be as determined as you are!

Hello, I was banded on 4/10/09 in marina del rey, ca. I am experiencing lots of pain where the port is. Also, I was told by the RN to NEVER use a straw, or chew gum for the first few months because it allows you to swallow too much air, and makes you feel fuller, faster. The dietician recommended using smaller plates, and toddler sized utensils until we learn our limits on food. I do have that terrible growling, hunger pain sometimes. I think its because our bodies are used to eating so much more food. I get to eat eggs today, HOORAY 4 ME!! (4/17/09) -
Hi April, its good that your are feeling ok. I had 2 c-sections myself and 1 of them was really bad. I also had my gallbladder removed so my tolerance for pain is somewhat high. Keep me posted on your progess.

Hi Vikki, I had my surgery Friday, and it was cool. Im in pain now, but they gave me the good stuff! LOL! It wasnt nearly as bad as a c-section. I was up and walking about 2 hours after. My stomach is not hurting, but the incisions on my stomach hurt like a mofo! Overall, the whole experience was pleasant, probably cuz I know what my reward is gonna be. good luck!!
