Hi! Glad to hear that teachers were getting treated by royalty somewhere! Bet you had a good time. I've had one fill so far. At first I was really disgusted because I didn't feel any differently--eating wise. But now 4 days later I think the fill is "kicking in." How is that even possible?! I'm so thankful to have all of July to focus on just me. We go back August 17th--that will be the real test for me and my band. How are you doing? You're moving into your third month and second fill--are you happy with the weight you've lost so far? I also LOVE teaching--it's one of the reasons I got the band. At the rate I was going health-wise, there was no way I was going to be able to continue teaching for the next 15-20 years. And believe it or not, I couldn't stand the idea of that!

OMG!!! Your pictures are great! Hi! I'm Kim, a math specialist from Texas. I was banded on April 9th and have lost 37 pounds so far. I've had one fill and will get another one in about 3 weeks. Please let me know what has worked for you!

I just finished my 19th year. I taught 2nd grade for 14 years and have been the math specialist for the past 5 years. I love my job! Sorry I'm so late getting back to you. I was in Austin last week at the Texas Regional Collaborative for Math and Science. We were treated like royalty!!! So how's the progress going after Lap-Band? I get my second fill on the 23rd! I can't wait!

Cowboyswife, What grade do you teach? I've been teaching for 21 years now and have taught K and 1st. Next year I'll be teaching 2nd.

Just wondering how you are doing after your surgery. I had mine April 9th! I feel great! I have to admit that after the first few days after surgery I was asking my myself, "What have I done??" but now I know it's the best decision I've ever made. I only had 2 days of pre-op "starvation". It's funny how methods differ from doctor to doctor. Please keep in touch. I've added you as my friend.
