    Will this Change?

No your not bad at all, I went through the samething with my last fill. The first one I felt no restriction and boy the second wow what a difference. I couldn't keep anything down including water. That has been almost two weeks now and still I have to be very very careful. Only tiny tiny bites of food and sips of water. I was waking up at night feeling like I was going to PB but nothing was in my tummy to actually come out except for saliva. I stuck it out called my doc finally after about a week of this and he told me just to be very careful that this was a learning stage that I had to go though.

    Smokin Bandsters?

I am a smoker I wish I could give it up for good. I quit once before my surgery for about 6 weeks and eneded up going back. Even though it had no effects on my healing I wish I would have stuck with it. Some days when I smoke my band tightens (I know that sounds kinda crazy) but it actually does.

My doctor recommended me to get the flu shot this year. Well I did yesterday mornig and as the day went on I just kept getting tighter and tighter until the point that I could barely keep water down. This morning I am able to eat soup and oatmeal but afraid to try anything else. ANyone else have a flu shot and get like this.

    Start to finish

My first appt was in Oct of 2005. I received my band June 27, 2006. It took alittle time not so much because of insurance but because when I went to the psyc evaluation he allowed I was a binge eater and that I needed more visits with him before he would give the ok to my surgeon. In my opinion it was becasue I had good insurance that paid him whatever he charged. Once he gave his ok my insurance ok'ed the surgery the same day.

    This sounds soooooo dumb....but.....

I had my second fill on Tuesday. I have never felt restriction before until this one. I have felt tight but nothing like this. I can definetly see a difference in the decreased amount of food I can eat now. I like it.

    I need help guys

I am in need of help in a bad way. I can't stop eating I am eating cookies (I know bad) eating more amounts of things that I am supposed to eat, I feel like I am losing control again. I had my first fill last Thursday he put in 1CC in a band that will hold 5-6 he said. I am scheduled for another fill next Thursday please please someone tell me that once I hit my spot that I won't be bale to eat the amounts of foods that I can eat now. I know its not going to help with the junk food but even if I would feel full sometimes I think that would help but right now I just am hungry all of the time unless I eat more than my 1000 calories a day that I am supposed to be eating. :help: PLEASE
  12. I recently had a couple of drinks made from 1 Cup Vodka 1 Cup Rum 1 Cup Cranberry Juice and 1 Can of unsweetned Pinapple juice oh my gosh it was so good but I couldn't come up with an idea of just how many calories were in an 8oz glass. I had two drinks and I was feeling like a very happy lady.:-)

    My First Fill

Well it happened finally I have got my first fill. I had an appt yesterday I was up one pound so my docotr said it was time. I was so nervous and anxious but it was easy just alittle stick no pain at all. So now I am trying to figure out if I feel a differnece or not. I am having oatmeat this moring for breakfast but so far no difference. How long before I feel something?
  14. No restriction at all before or after for my doctor. I thought for sure he would say soft or mushie foods after but nope. He told me just to be very careful chew chew chew but I could eat regular food.
  15. My first fill was last Thursday and I was scared to death. My doctor had me lay down and put a pillow under my back cross my arms over my chest and raise my head up off the table. He then gave me a shot to numb things up which it hurt alittle kinda like a bee sting but not real bad. Then when he actually put the fill in I felt nothing except for some pressure not painful at all. I was so relieved when it was over. I worried for nothing. I am scheduled for another fill in 2 weeks i feel very little restriction right now but now I'm not abit nervous about going.

    How many Calories???

Right after I moved to soft foods I usually ate around 800. Now that I am full foods I am at 1000. Some days I go over alittle.
  18. Please don't let anyone make this decision for you but you. You are the one that will be going through all of the different lifestyle changes not them. I was scared to death to have this done but I knew from past expereinces that Iwould never lose the weight and keep it off unless I had some kind of help. My husband in the beginning was definetly against any kind of WLS but after he went to the seminars with me he finally told me that it was my desision and whatever I decided he would support me. Well I did have the surgery and a couple of days after I thought what in the world did I do to myself I couldn't eat had a horrible time even drinking but as the time went on (only days)I started feeling so much better. I started losing the weight I feel much better I have more energy I no longer need BP medication there are other things that I could say but I will just tell you that in no way shape or form do I regret it. I have lost 39 pounds since I had my surgery 6/26/06 and I am very very proud of myself.
  19. Oh I forgot one thing when I tell them that I am hungry all of the time they tell me to eat more protein that should help. It does sometimes but other times it doesn't
  20. I was banded 6/26 and I am the same way I feel hungry all of the time. I can eat anything that I want. I have no restriction at all. I had an appointment yesterday and thought for sure that I would get my first fill and nope he didn't give me one. He says that as long as I am losing at least 1 pound a week that he wouldn't give me one.
  21. I weigh myself every morning at the same time naked, right out of the shower.
  22. I am almost 12 weeks out and still no fill. I do go back today and I am truly hoping for a fill. I can eat way to much food and my weight loss has slowed.

Sitting Straight Up after being Banded

I work at a desk all day long too. My first day back was pretty hard with the sitting and the gas. Yuo know not being able to pass it when needed. Well I went home in tears that evening becasue of the gas building up along with my port still uncomfortable needless to say I will never hold my gas in any more i go outside if make sure nobody is around and the discomfort of the port well I just started getting up and walking around the office more and that really helped. THis went on for about two weeks then I was completly back to normal.
