Ok. So I am now Officially Freaking Out.

I had my surgery 4 days ago. I had to be at the surgery center at 1:30 pm. Surgery was at 3:00 and I left around 7. Got home and went to bed. Wasn't so bad so don't worry. :-) I wasn't that hungry before because I was nervous. I worked half that day which helped keep my mind occupied.

    Concerns!

I go in for my surgery Thursday but I still have concerns. Are any of you worried about how your lap band will hold up for 20 years etc? This is a new surgery and no one really knows what it will do to your body in so many years. I am paying out of pocket for the surgery. Has anyone had complications where they had to have it removed and did their insurance then cover that surgery? Thanks Everyone! P-

    Pre-op tests?

My BMI is 40. Age 40. Dr. Kirshenbaum is my lap band Dr. I don't know if they wait and do blood work during my visit the week before surgery. He said no EKG though. So what do you all think about no pre-op tests? I am worried.

    Pre-op tests?

Have most of you had to have pre-op tests such as blood and EKGs etc? My doctor stated I didn't have to have those tests which concerned me. Thanks
