Hi Sue,
How was your consultation? I hope it went well. I usually post on the post-op boards. Yes, I do like Dr. Kim and his staff. Let us know how you're doing.
-
I include my weightloss starting from my first consultation which includes my pre-op diet.
-
Congratulations!!! My gas pains weren't to bad, but, the bloating bothered me.
-
Congratulations!!!! That is HUGE and exciting!

When I had the lap band put in the doctor saw I had a hiatal hernia and repaired it when he put the band in. I think that's fairly common. I don't know if it would show up as a "shadow". Good luck, hope all goes well.

Have a great day!!!!

I've lost 17 lbs but, the majority was from the pre-op diet. I'm two weeks post op. Been doing mushy food for a week. I'm eating less than 1000 calories a day, I don't understand why the weight hasn't been dropping. I've been at the same weight for almost a week!!!

WOW, Keli you're almost there (if you haven't bought some already)!!! Congrats on your weightloss.

There's a thread somewhere on here asking what are the top three things you're going to do when you reach goal. Getting a pair of expensive jeans is VERY popular. My question is which brand of jeans are you planning on buying? :smile2: I always have trouble finding jeans I like so, I'd like to get some ideas for my "Dream Jeans".

I'm so sorry! I hope the port can be replaced and wish you a speedy recovery!

I choose the weight I remember feeling and looking my best too. I haven't been at that weight in over 10 years but, I know it's healthy and anything lower would make me look too skinny. Your goal weight should also be in a healthy or "normal" BMI range which I believe is 25 max. Good luck!

Congratulations!!!

Bella,
After in your incisons heal and your doctor gives you the ok you can try walking in a swimming pool. It's alot less stress on your back. Good luck!

I LOVE "Designer Whey" Protein Powder, 18 grams Protein. I mix in blender w/ ice and FF milk. I add a sweet 'n low and use different flavorings. Sometimes I add cinnamon, different extracts, SF chocolate, 1 tsp Peanut Butter (tastes like a reeses peanut butter cup) ....

When is the 1st fill usually scheduled?

I was banded on 04/14/09 and I'm paranoid too. I accidently got bumped in the port tonight and I'm wondering if there was any damage done aside from the pain. :crying:
-
I was banded on 04/14/09. 7 days post-op today. I'm supposed to start blended/mushy food 7 days post op. Is it 7 days including the date of surgery or 7 full days AFTER the date of the surgery????
-
I have 5 total (also had hiatal hernia repair). Three are small and two are large. One looks like the surgeon made the stitches to tight and it's sunken in. Like when your sewing and you pull the thread to tight and material gets bunched up. Yuck!!
Anyone else had that? Hope it flattens out. Made he let a resident do it.

I'm 6 days post op -15 lbs lost. I just tried on my jeans that fit before the 2wk pre-op diet and surgery and they're too tight now. It would've hurt to try and button them. Am I that bloated????? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone able to wear jeans immediatedly?
-
Thanks Ladies! I'm soooo glad I'm not the only one.
Sandibly, That is a beautiful dream, 10 lbs a week!

I "gained" 5 lbs from my weight the morning of the surgery to the day after.
It certainly wasn't from eating anything. I was on clear liquid the evening of the surgery. Does the swelling, air/gas, blood cause a "gain"? Did anyone experience this? I'm 5 days post op and I'm just now back to my the weight before the surgery. I'm still on full liquids.< /p>
Stretch pouch in Bandster's Hell?
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I'm 3 wks post op and still on mushie food. I won't get a fill for another 3 weeks. I feel like I can eat almost as much as I did before I was banded. I'm so scared I'll stretch my pouch. I'm trying hard not to overeat but obviously, I have a problem w/ self control otherwise I wouldn't need the bad. Does anyone think they stretched their pouch during this time that lead to complications or slippage?
