Hey Sweet Spot, I have been reading your blogs and I love them, They always make me smile!! I was wondering how you were doing with your lapband? Have you had any Problems? I had mine done in April and everything was going so well till my last fill, when i went in i told the Dr. I needed it tightned cause i could eat alot more then i had been able to,so she put a little over 2cc in,the first time i had a fill it was only 1 cc, any way I now have a problem eating chicken, and today i had a bad experience with a hard boiled egg!!!!I go back to the doctor next week and we will see what they say, but I was just wondering how you were doing.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how long we have to wait after surgery to be able to return to the gym to exercise? I was banded 8 days ago and everything is going great and I don't return to my Dr. till next week. I figured I would ask him then but it seems like such a long wait and besides walking I was wondering what else I might be able to do?any suggestions or ideas?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good protein shake mix for the "liquids only days" after surgery? :smile2:

I to have pain under my rib cage but that is where i have an incision. I actually i have 5 incisions. i know the doc fixed my hyedial hernia.I also have pain in the back of my neck and shoulders.hope you feel better soon. I started with the gas-x shortly after i got home,and that was yesterday. but other than that i feel pretty darn good!

I was told my headache was due to carb and caffiene and sugar withdrawl!! I have had a headache now for 2 weeks and tylenol does not phase it!! So I do sympathize with you!I go tuesday for my surgery

When did you get banded? Have you had any problems? Dr. Spaw will be doing my band at Baptist. I understand he is really good. Any suggestions you can give me, Tuesday is my big day!

oh I do know what you mean!! My mother in-law is having afit!!!! she says i look great but i don't feel great and i know i have to do this for myself. My husband is my greatest supporter, he's even going on a diet too! But without his major support i would really be teetering on wheather to continue on. I have my band put on next tuesday the 7th and i am excited!!! i really never thought of not telling anyone cause I was proud of the fact that i have made up my mind to do something about it. Hopefully i will be leaving behind several meds i am on now! But good luck. Susan

Hi There, I am going to a newbee a seek from today!!! Excited and a little nervous! Wasn't to nervous until i started reading some of these blogs and stories!!! But i always believe positively and that I go into this with my eyes wide open.I am on my solid liquid diet(pre-op) and so far it hasn't bothered me too much. I did start my diet early cause i know i needed to adjust my body and boy i am glad i did. I had some of the awfulest headaches from carb withdrawal and sweets you can imagine!!!! i am very excited cause the people that i know that have had this done have had such great results and i only hope i can too! any suggestions on the post op liquids? do we still do our protiene shakes during the fluids only time? I am in Nashville,Tn and my doctor is Dr. Albert Spaw. he seems to be a fantastic dr!!

hi everyone, i am a new soon to be lapbander! i have mine done april 7th and very excited. my question to you is on the soft food diet that we will be on, the chicken,tuna,egg, salads what all do we put in them? i have tried to reach my nutritoniest for a week to ask her but she been out and i wanted to join an on line lapbander group to post and hear what everyone else has to say. i have read and i am so afraid of getting sick and something happening to the lap band that i am almost aprehensive about it!! but i know it is a wonderful thing,
