I am having surgery Wednesday, April 13th. Band to Bypass... definitely getting more nervous and scared each day. The doctor has no idea what type of scar tissue I have and also could be possible erosion of band to deal with... Needless to say, i am starting to freak out the closer I get.

Hi! I am having gastric bypass surgery on Wed the 13th... i have seen quite a few of posts on here to get Edy's sugar free Popsicles. I have called all grocery chains in my area as well as Edy's and they don't have SF popsicles. Maybe they quit making them?? Anyways, can someone recommend a good brand that is bariatric friendly for the two week post op liquid phase?? Thank you! Maggie

I have no pre-op diet either, just liquids only 24 hours prior to surgery. Post-surgery I am on a 14 day liquid Protein shake diet.

I'm having mine March 7th! Anxious, nervous and excited all at once. Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know of any flavorings we could add to a vanilla protein shake to give us more options? Celebrate only has chocolate milk, orange cream and vanilla. It would be nice to find a strawberry flavoring to add.

My doctor gave me several samples of protein shakes and i really like the celebrate ens. They not only taste good but have all the needed vitamins and nutrients for the two weeks post surgery. What is every one planning to use? just wondering if their are better/cheaper options out there.

Thanks for everyones' input! I really appreciate it, mine is coming quicker than normal due to band slippage so just trying to prepare as best as I can.

My surgeon does not require a pre-op diet. is this normal? it seems everyone is on some type of liquid diet prior to surgery. Thoughts? P.S. I have a slipped lapland and is being converted to bypass, not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks, Maggie
