I am so disappointed with my Band ..its been 2yrs for me 2nd attempt GLBI cannot excercise due to a spinal condition which affects my feet.. I haVe stayed the same weight for most of this time.. I am abt 100kg 5"4 The weight is just not budging.. the only way I have ever lost it is on LL meal packs..I paid nearly £6000 for this band which went wrong on the first go.. This Journey has been a total disaster.. I am 5.5mls filled in a 10 ml sl band. Any advise would be help I first started in 2009 May..with the Balloon that did not work either THIS WAS FAULTY.. IN BELGIUM i WAS RIPPED OF. SO PLEASE hELP......

Richardson replied to Richardson's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi There well you are doing well with your weight loss! well done mine is so slow if not static.. But as for the boobie well like me are stuck with them life's rich tapestry of yo yo dieting and heaviness and pregnancy has played its part.. Go for it I plan to but at the rate Iam losing weight I'll be dead before it happens..getting the weight off is my first step then the refashioning.. Look at some of the Letters about this.. and research the procedures.. 57 still young enough to want be attractive and desired.. Keep me posted. Ciao! -

Not sure I want implants but just to have the boobies back whee they satarted I still have the volume there thank god.. Did you have your band emptied for this? I still have a problem with the band not assisting with weight loss.. Have gone onto a low cal diet.. but am going down Slowly now. 101K this morning.. Iam glad to hear that the sensitivity is not lost in this Op I will check it out on Utube.. Keep in touch! Dx -
Thanks Again! I am sure you are right I will book in for a Fill there is a Nurse close to me that does it for £100_ Thanks for your advice Its making me feel a lot happier knowing that this probably the reason for the lack of weight loss.. Where are you California I was in LA many years ago I had an Aunt who lived in Canoga Park,, Last time I went was 1980.. So many food outlets there! Access to Surgery is easier now over in the Uk.. prices are coming down.. Thanks for your Help! Dawn x

I have felt that very same thing! I have been having to go onto Meal Replacement packs which is costing more money on top of aready money spent on the Gastric Baloon which perforated on the stomach.. Then to have it removed and the band fitted which then the PORT Flipped and have it resited.. So not a Good Journey for me thus far on this Battle with the Flab. I have to restrict what I eat ridgidly.. I think I will need a bit more of a fill soon I was told I had 5mls in the band.t I can eat soft bread and chicken.. Rice and breast of chicken drier meats get stuck.. But never get that really full feeling. I can also feel the food going through the band. I am not sure if this is meant to happen so readily?? I am restricting my own intake.. ..I think the only thing the band is doing for me is to stop larger amounts going down which helps avoid the weight gain..I can maintain but losing has been harder at my age.. Menopuse 54. Grrrr Oh well onwards >>>> Dawn

Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)
Richardson replied to Richardson's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thanks for your advice I am saving at the moment for the Op and am seeing the Consultant on 1st August .. which is jst the first session .. My only worry is the weight is taking an age to go.. I am on food replacement packs which is more cost...lo carb meals were NOT shfting anything,, I have about 4 stone to go. So it could be a while unless someone can improve the band functionality I am disappointed with it..The only form of exercise I can do is to swim.. I suffer with a back injury.. Iam glad you are happy with the outcome, Wound care is important, I can look after my own Wounds but its the initial surgery an accuracy of the skin and Nipples.. Have you kept the sensation in the nips or are yu still a little numb from surgery.. They ususally use steristrips and glue for this area.. Best of Luck Regards Dawn -
