I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 and I am 1 1/2 hrs away. Probably wont get much sleep to nite. Wonder...how long before you plan to go back to work? -

Hi, Started Optifast last Tuesday. First day was a slight challenge. I was hungry. Getting use to it. I think I may be having problem with my gall bladder. Wish I knew. I cant postpone my Sept2 procedure. Thanks for all the support. Anyone going throughMayo Clinic? -
BooCakes, I like your name. Thank you for your reply. I am just getting cold feet I guess. But my hope is to get off my medications. I want to be healthy. I am going to put it in Gods hands. Thanks again.

Question......What happens to the band if I get the flu. Does constant vomiting move the band? -

I appreciate your response. I am questioning my decision. I want to get healthy so bad. I disappoint myself that I need this tool to accomplish my goal. Noone knows but my husband. I am embarassed about it. My date is 9-2. Please keep in touch. imokru386@yahoo.com I am originally from Chicago.

I am glad to find this site. I am 60 and suppose to be banded on 9-2. I am very nervous. My wish is to get healthy. Nice to know there is a support group. -
I am scheduled for Sept 2 also. Only my husband knows about it. I do not want to be judged. I did not even tell my daughters. I am 60 yrs old so this is going to be a major commitment for me. My Dr said my age should not be a factor. It was my sleep apnea Dr that suggested the operation. I never even gave it a thought before so I figured God must be telling me something.

I have been working towards this goal for 6 months. Now that I have a date I am very nervous. I am very glad to find this discussion group. It still baffles me why the preperation is different for everyone. -

Hi, Just got my date today. September 2nd. I have to go on optifast starting next Tuesday. Getting nervous. Nobody but my husband knows so having this forum for support will help. It gets a little confusing because the diets very so much. It seems that Mayo is some what strick. Anyone else going to Mayo? Can anyone recommend a good lap band book?I will keep you all in my prayers.
