    Stuck episode

Shannon, had you eaten anything? or was it just like that when you woke uo? Did it go away after a few minutes?

    Stuck episode

I had an episode the other day with a productive burp when I ate tuna. Mine came back up just as it went down, but there was no blood. I don't think blood would be normal. You may want to give your surgeon a call. Best of luck.
  3. Sarah, tilapia is your best bet to start off with. It's thin and it's not fishy at all, imo. Especially when you season it up. It isn't thick and fishy like say, salmon {which I do love}. Other than that, maybe whitefish. But I would start with tilapia and see how you handle that.

    Lapband's dirty little secret

Well that really stinks. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through that. So far I haven't had any problems with my doctor. Did you research your doc before surgery?

    Lets Celebrate !!!!!

This is a good idea! I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years, Tommy Hilfiger jeans that I only got to wear like twice! Also, I'm exercising every day as opposed to never! LOL. How about everyone else?
  7. Yum I love tilapia also, that sounds great. Thanks for the recipe, I'll try it this weekend!

Mayo Banditos / Friday Weigh In !!!!

Yep, it is completely normal and what is called "bandster hell". Don't worry, it'll pick up again but your body is just adjusting right now! Best of luck.

    Banded & The Single Life

I have a boyfriend, but if I was single and dating right now, I guess I would wait until I felt the time was right. That would be after you get to know each other a bit and open up more to one another. Definitely not even within the first few dates, maybe not even the first 10 dates! lol

    Would You Wear a Mini-skirt?

Definitely. My legs are one thing on my body that aren't huge and before I gained all this weight, I used to wear shorter skirts and shorts. I can't wait to go back to that again!
  12. I had my first PB yesterday though, yuck! It was with tunafish. I can start going back to solids this week. I'm excited. My first fill is the 29th. Wow, that's great that you're doing so well! Keep up the exercise, I know it sucks sometimes for me though! Wow, 2 miles that's awesome! Good for you. I hope you have a great week!

  13. Hi Heather! I was just going to write you this morning. I'm doing really well this week, lost 2 pounds yesterday and have just been more motivated. How are you doing? Any challenges for you this past week? Everything going smoothly?

    Upper Leg Numbness

I know this thread is old, but I was just researching this! I have had this on and off for 6 years if I lay on my back, but since 2 days after surgery, it has been non stop in my right thigh! So irritating. I'm seeing my doctor Wednesday to see if there's anything I can do. Glad to see I'm not alone.

Oh you poor thing, that sounds painful!

    Post-Op Blues

You are right. Just hang in there ladies! I was banded May 20th and thought I was going to flip my lid that first week with broth, etc, it was hard. The one good thing is that I wasn't hungry. After that phase, and I could have soups, cheese, etc, it was better, but I did notice myself getting hungry again. Just take it day by day and remember to follow your doctors instructions as far as your diet is concerned. It'll get easier. And the pain and discomfort from gas and stuff goes away soon too!

    Moods & attitudes

Aw, well just try to hang in there sweetie, I know it will get better. We have so much to adjust to, it's only normal. I know it's so hard, I didn't think I was even going to be able to make it out of bed this morning. The thought of coming to work made me want to vomit. I had the moodshift too. Friday I was on a complete warpath and told my bf I didn't want to be with him anymore, thankfully he knew I wasn't serious and didn't get mad. But then the last couple days, I've just been depressed and super sad. It has to look up for us soon. Just try to relax and take as much time for yourself as you can. Maybe get a massage or a mani/pedi, something that will soothe you a little.

    Moods & attitudes

Sarah, I've been going through the same thing! Oh gosh, it's been horrible. My sister is ready to move out of our home, I think, lol. And my poor boyfriend, he's been the biggest victim. It's bad. I've been so damn moody, and it's not pms for me either. I hope it fades soon because otherwise I feel good!

    PB's---had my first one today.

Thanks Sarah! Yeah, that's what happened, about 45 seconds later, it just came back up. What an awful experience. Hope it doesn't happen again for any of us anytime soon!

    port incision question

I have not heard of that before. Have you tried calling your surgeon again today? Or maybe call your pcp? Sounds like you need to talk to them. Don't worry too much, but talking to them should calm your nerves. Best of luck.

    Grrrr! Grumpy Bandster Here

Don't get discouraged! The same thing had been happening to me, but I weighed myself today and lost 2 lbs. It's totally normal, your body is just adjusting. That weight is going to come off very soon, just stick with it!!!!

    Drinking before and After meals.

Oh no! You tried it??? What happened? I am so afraid of ever trying it because of the horror stories I hear.

Mayo Banditos / Friday Weigh In !!!!

I weigh myself on Monday mornings, so today I was down 2 pounds. I was happy! Last weekend I started soft foods, so when I weighed last Monday, I stayed the same. So seeing a drop on the scale today was nice. I was nervous I wasn't going to do well because I'd been eating cheese everyday, but not alot. But I was still nervous!
