Did you feel any restriction right after surgery
dogmama replied to HollyRnOh's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded 3/23 with the Realize Band, and I haven't noticed much restriction. I have no clue how many cc's are in my band, if any yet. I haven't pushed the envelope with trying things like steak or bread. I can eat crackers with no problems. I get my first fill 5/4, and I'm hoping to get some restriction then. I do feel fuller sooner, just not much restriction with things going down. I guess you could say I'm in semi bandster hell -
Hey y'all! I got the Realize band on 3/23/09, and so far I've lost 11 lbs. My dr advises 2 weeks on full liquids, but he allowed me to go to liquid/soft a few days early because of awful diarrhea. Anyone else experiencing this awful side effect? Liquids in = liquids out, but this is getting old! Why do some people have constipation with all the liquid? I never thought I'd say this, but at this point I'm ready for constipation! :scared2:

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks

Okay, gotcha. That does sound hellish! I'm 2 weeks post-op today, so I'm hoping by the grace of God that I'll skip this phase! Thanks for the info!

My dr prescribed lortab elixir (hydrocodone). It tasted terrible, but most liquid medicines do. I only took the med for 2 days b/c it was making me nauseated. I moved on to liquid tylenol. Now I take the tylenol chewables.

I had the same question earlier. I was thinking PB...peanut butter?? Lots of abbreviations to learn on here!

Sorry that you're feeling nauseated. I went through the same thing last week after my surgery. My doc gave me phenergan suppositories which helped a lot. I had to stop taking the liquid hydrocodone pain med because I think that was adding to the nausea. Hope you feel better!

Post Op Constipation - Any Ideas?
dogmama replied to Kage's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can't say I feel your pain, but I'm sorry you're suffering. Trust me, you don't want the alternative that I'm going through...6-10 "explosions" a day with belly cramps. Hope you feel better!
